Magic Filters are ready

  1. When they shipped mine, they included in the email telling me they shipped it:

We are pleased to be able to tell you that your Magic Filters have

been dispatched. Please allow a normal postage time from the UK to

wherever you live. IF POSSIBLE could you drop us a quick e mail when it

arrives so we can get an idea of delivery times overseas?

So in other words they have no clue how long it takes to get here.

  2. William is right! ;) Although each time someone tells us that they have their filters we have a better idea.

Postage from the UK to the States seems to take 4-8 days. We can send orders via Fed-Ex if you have an account - and we can get filters to you by any means you suggest. Just let us know. Remember standard worldwide postage is included in our price.

I would like to point out that I am away in Bali from 3-18th September, and more importantly, Peter, who handles the orders is away in Bali-Komodo from 11-27th September. So we won't be able to send out orders during this time. So please get any urgent orders in to us before Peter goes away. We should have some spares with us, should you run in to either of us on our travels.

  3. I can tell you I ordered the filters last week and got them yesterday, so less than a week to Michigan! B)

  4. I will add my 2 cents worth. I faxed my order to Peter yesterday morning. Within 20 minutes, I got an email stating they were ready to ship and would go out immediately. These guys are quick !!! Either that or Peter was really bored and had nothing else to do at the time.

  5. Either that or Peter was really bored and had nothing else to do at the time.

He told me he was busy working on the next issue of UWP! ;) Next time I write an article for the magazine I will have to make sure it is filled with spelling mistakes to give him something to do!

Seriously though. It is just the two of us, and Peter handles the orders. The plus is we can be quick when we are around, and deal with unusual orders etc. But the downside of being just a couple of photographers and not a proper company is that when we are away - everything stops. And I'd like to apologise in advance for times like that!

  6. Magic Filters just arrived in sunny Cairns !

Now watch the wind blow and the visibility deteriorate for the next month........

  7. Does anyone know whether a Canon 10-22 mm lens with Magic 77 filter

fits inside an Ikelite 5503.50 dome port?

  8. Dont know, But I do know that if if fit in the port before, it will fit in the port after. The 77mm magic filter is no thicker than a piece of paper so it wont have any effect on port compatibility....

  9. The Magic Filter is very thin, as William says. But you will need something to hold it in place, and this may take up space. I am updating the Magic Website with extra tips for mounting Magic filters.

This shot should give you an idea of the thickness of the filter. Thanks to James for modelling for us! :P;):D

  10. Mine arrived, can't wait to try them out in a couple of weeks. Now we just need one for green, ok really green water!

Usually to that kind of modeling you choose a little less hairy hands B)

  12. Oh boy - that's not me - I have straight hair!. Must be a Scotlander or a Kiwi - looks like a cross between a sheep and a person!

    Cheers

    James

  13. Or has he spent all his cash on equipment and needs a new jumper? We could maybe have a whip round for him.... how about the Magic Filter Jumper Fund?

  14. Oh boy - that's not me - I have straight hair!.  Must be a Scotlander or a Kiwi - looks like a cross between a sheep and a person!

I have still got the glue on the back of my hand if it is any consolation! Alex

  15. That's the kind of self-sacrifice we demand around here Alex - just another day on the job...:-)

    Cheers

  17. ROTFLMAO

James you could cover your housing in fun fur to try and blend in. ;)

  18. Hey, this is discrimination! Just because some of us have more testosterone than others doesn't mean y'all are inferior or some of us are just more virile. Just as long as you don't change my title to "The Hedgehog" I'll be OK.

    James

  19. Just as long as you don't change my title to "The Hedgehog" I'll be OK.

Where is your mind today James?

First you're warning Eric about the effects of cold-water, and now you're making references to a well-known 'adult entertainer.'

    ;) Too funny...

  20. Just as long as you don't change my title to "The Hedgehog" I'll be OK.

Oh Eric...since you are back...the title "The Engineer" is getting a little boring...

    ;):)
