It looks like 6 micron pixels might be about the limit for 24x36mm sensors.

The person who posted this was confuesd. 36mm , ~ 4500 pixels across works out to about 8 microns. It's about the same pixel size as the D100 , S2, and Canon D60. The smallest fstop before diffraction starts to degrade the image is around f/16 to f/22. Very similar to sildes.
