Best extension ring for marelux canon rf 7-14
I consulted with the official personnel of Nautiam, and they said that the basis for determining the appropriate length of the extension ring is that the front mirror group and the ball cover surface are parallel. They have given more consideration to the situation of 7mm Based on my measurements, the flange difference between Marelux-rf and Nauticum-rf is 7mm, which means that if Nauticum has a length of 20mm, Marelux needs 27mm

I followed your advice and conducted tests on land using 3D printed extension rings (30mm and 35mm). It can be confirmed that the 35mm extension ring in the 14mm focal length can only see slight dark corners when the camera anti shake group is working, while there are no visible corners in the 30mm range. Checking the image quality, it was found that there was almost no difference between the two under F10 F13. Therefore, 30mm is the optimal extension ring for RF7-14

Thank you Phil. I just got the Marelux 140 dome and tested it with a 40mm extension ring. It has distinct black edges, I guse 35mm will be ok. You mentioned that 20mm is the most suitable, I'd like to know the reason for this setting. Because I obtained that 32-36mm is the best optical distance through the theoretical calculation method in the forum (the entrance pupil distance of rf7-14 comes from the Internet, and other parameters are actually measured by me)

Yes, a smaller aperture definitely helps with the picture quality. I don't have a 20mm extension ring, plan to purchase a 15+20mm extension ring

Thank you for sharing. What brand of diopters do you use?

Best extension ring for marelux canon rf 7-14
Yes, there isn't much information. My friend has already used this lens on the Marelux R52, using a 30mm extension ring and obtaining images at aperture F8. I think there is some blurring in the corners, which may not have fully realized the potential of the lens

In addition, after testing, rf 1.4TC can’t be used together, even if the rear filter is removed, it is too long. But the color filter and rear filter are a good match. Even when magnified multiple times, there is no decrease in image quality

Best extension ring for marelux canon rf 7-14
I used the Marlex R5 and purchased an RF 7-14 lens. The official recommendation is a 30mm extension ring, but I saw many people on the forum saying that its best optimal length is 35mm. Has anyone tested it? (I currently only have one 40mm extension ring, and testing has found significant black edges) Additional, if I carry an additional RF 35 1.8 or 501.8 as a supplement, will the image quality significantly decrease behind the 140 dome? (I just want to carry one dome)

Nauticam Wet Lens On Other Systems
okay, thank you. I am still considering whether to try because it is not cheap. If it fails, I need to replace the marelux system. I will share the final result if I try

Bro, what Canon body do you use and do you think the image quality is good with this combination? Thanks- Will the combination of nauticam MFO-3 and Marelux macro system affect the image quality
OK, thank your suggestion😄- Will the combination of nauticam MFO-3 and Marelux macro system affect the image quality
Ask you additional questions: If I plan to use the nauticam EMWL system or MWL system in the future, can purchasing the "marelux extension Nauticam to Marelux" and combining it with the nauticam recommended lens port give me the best distance? (For example, using "marelux Extension Ring 20"+"nautical macro port"+EMWL/MWL instead of "marelux macro port"+EMWL/MWL) Or is there a way for me to achieve the exact same distance as Nautiam on Marelux? Thank you very much- Will the combination of nauticam MFO-3 and Marelux macro system affect the image quality
Thank you for your reply. I can use it with confidence- Will the combination of nauticam MFO-3 and Marelux macro system affect the image quality
I use Marelux R5 and RF100, and as far as I know, the macro lens length of Marelux and Nauticum macro dome is different. Therefore, will the image quality be affected when marelux macro dome port combined with MFO-3 wet lens? (I have no experience using wet lenses) - FS: Nauticam WACP-1 for Canon 28-70 f3.5-4.5 II
