  1. Greetings from OM Digital Solutions. We are contacting you to follow up on our phone conversation regarding the TG-7 underwater accessories. FD-1 (Flash Diffuser): Can be mounted, removed, and used underwater without any limitations. It is the ideal accessory for underwater macro lighting, effectively directing the built-in flash light. CLA-T01 (Adaptor Ring): Can be changed underwater without restrictions. It is suitable for attaching underwater filters or converter lenses (such as the FCON-T01 and FCON-T02 fisheye lenses). LG-1 (LED Light Guide): Not suitable for underwater use. Water fills the optical channel of the accessory, altering refraction and preventing the correct diffusion of the LED light. LB-T01 (Lens Barrier): Not recommended for use underwater. Water and small air bubbles become trapped in the rotating blade mechanism and in front of the lens's front element, impairing image quality and causing fog or spots in photographs.
  2. Thank you! https://www.inon.jp/customer/discontinued/strobe/strobe/s2000/top.html Is this the absolute smallest (by volume) underwater strobe that can be used with the TG-7 without housing (with a generic fiber optic base glued to the body)? Or there are smaller options?
  3. I guess this makes the question much simpler. And AI skipped this detail.
  4. Are the diaphragm blades easy to push in, or do they provide solid mechanical protection against everyday bumps and pressure? (I’m looking for something that offers protection similar to a classic lens cap.) https://explore.omsystem.com/c/en/lb-t01-lens-barrier Or use this instead? 5. So LG-1 is for video, FD-1 for photo? Can these two be swapped underwater? (I am cautious with AI, as it confidently tells stuff that sometime ends up in disaster.)
  6. What are the differences between these two? Which one is for underwater macro photography? 7. How do you prevent a TG 7, or any compact camera, from twisting on an underwater tray? A single 1/4 inch screw becomes the rotational axis. What is the underwater equivalent of an Arca clamp, or a good enough solution for using a TG 7 without a housing?
  8. Thanks! On this config, the aim is the smallest/lightest rig that can deliver images where the quality remains good enough to be able to use/present anywhere. Backscatter HF-1 is too big. 9. Thank you! Housing: I hear you, but my point is to be as compact and lean as possible. Otherwise I can go with an RX100 + housing. Inon S220 S-TTL Underwater Strobe: Roger. Would you happen to know the smallest hybrid light for photo and video? Stick on ports for fiber optic cables: Can you suggest known-to-work models to order?
  10. Hi everyone, Glad to be here. I’m a tech, travel, scuba, and photography enthusiast who is always on the learning curve. Looking forward to joining the community and exploring the underwater world. Thanks for having me!
  11. OM SYSTEM Tough TG-7: Two compact underwater strobes with NO housing How can I trigger two underwater strobes with an OM SYSTEM TG-7 without using a housing? The TG-7’s built-in flash must either: not fire at all, be easily physically covered/blocked from illuminating the subject, or otherwise contribute essentially nothing to the image. I’m looking for the two smallest/most compact strobes that can work with this setup. What specific strobes and triggering method would you recommend?
