I can't say I've had that experience with the current Nikkor 60mm or 105mm or their predecessors. The old 105mm could be slow and sometimes hunted. But once steered in the right direction, it usually stayed on target. The latest 105mm version is very good.

There seems to be a good few 4TB SSDs around £200 on Amazon UK including Lexar and Kingston. I don’t know how they compare but I was checking them out earlier. -

I understand most butchery products are effective although cuts to rear the element usually work best. I believe these are known as bull cuts?

I now keep all my lenses in a Pelican case with a bunch of desiccant packs inside. I dry out the packs about every 3 months.

I love the.... "take the lens apart and clean it" bit... yeah, I know, it's not quite that, but.....

Recommendations for a focus light

I’ve got a Sola P800 which should be an excellent focus light. Easily adjustable red/white and brightness. But their charging system I find dodgy. I think they’re a popular focus light but I don’t think I can recommend them.
