  1. Hey! Also in seattle; welcome to the never ending learning exercise that underwater photography is!
  2. Was the ban on serving it in restaurants, or the supply of shark fins, or ?
  3. Found this interesting, I didn't know there was legislation pending for this! https://lynnwoodtimes.com/2024/03/07/octopus-farming-240307/ -jon
  4. Hey all! I have a used dual TTL sync cord N5 bulkhead <-> ikelite strobe (x2). I'd rather only ship to CONUS, shipping costs (from Seattle area) not included in price. Asking $US50. This is a used item, but works fine, and has the older brass fittings.
  5. Hey all! I have two brand new never used single sync cords Ikelite<->ikelite, I'd rather only ship to CONUS, shipping costs (from Seattle area) not included in price. Asking $US35 each. These have never been in water, are brand new, and have the older brass fittings.
  6. A rare daylight, shallow water capture of the Giant Pacific Octopus out hunting. From the northeast pacific.

  7. I'm a transplant as well - I spent a couple years diving a Meg, but went back to open circuit a few years ago. Good to see Seattle represented!
  8. Ah thanks for the invite, weeknights are tricky without, uh, advance planning. Hope your dive was fruitful!
  9. I don't have quite the budget, and ended up ordering a BenQ as well, the PD3205U. It doesn't have the gamut coverage or the calibration built-in, but looks like a reasonable cheaper option. It should arrive Saturday, and will be a badly needed upgrade from the old Dell I've been working with (for my day job) for the last couple years.
  10. That looks suspiciously like my Monday night dive at 3 Tree point! Nice images Dave! I believe that crab is actually a Graceful crab (Cancer gracilis) due to the coloration and shape of the shell), but I could be wrong.
  11. Life and kids has kept me from spending the time on my online presence I used to, but I still get wet pretty regularly up here in the Pacific Northwest waters. Some day I'll have time to publish, but for now all I can do is keep up with my cataloging, species ID, and tagging, so at least when I get back to publishing I'll be ready. Anyway, excited to see what kind of community grows here. Cheers!
