Help with Seacam housing shutter shaft removal
Thanks Chris! Yeah there is an insert that the shaft is enclosed by. I’ve got an email to Backscatter as well. my inclination was to use a punch and try and tap it free but I didn’t want to bust anything out of ignorance. maybe the insert is a consumable? I just don’t know. thanks for your advice! I’ll see if anyone else has done this or to hear back from Backscatter before banging on it. if I don’t get any leads I may just give it a couple taps and see what happens. cheers!

Help with Seacam housing shutter shaft removal
Anyone here serviced a knob or shutter release on a seacam housing? My shutter release has gotten extremely sticky, to the point where it's hard to move with my finger, and definitely is binding past the point where the inner spring can be of any help. I've got it disassembled, but I'm not sure how to actually remove the shaft, there doesn't appear to be any set screws, I've removed the c-clip that seems like it would be holding it in, but I am too afraid to really press on the shaft to remove it. Anyone done this? Does it just take a lot of pressure? Is there a trick to removing shafts from a new-ish seacam housing to get to the o-rings and clean it up? Thanks! [Photos attached for reference, showing the interior side of the disassembled shutter release (only the shaft is left), and the exterior shot with the lever removed.]

FS: N5 bulkhead <-> ikelite strobe (x2) dual TTL sync cord
Hey all! I have a used dual TTL sync cord N5 bulkhead <-> ikelite strobe (x2). I'd rather only ship to CONUS, shipping costs (from Seattle area) not included in price. Asking $US50. This is a used item, but works fine, and has the older brass fittings.

FS: single ikelite<->ikelite Sync cords
Hey all! I have two brand new never used single sync cords Ikelite<->ikelite, I'd rather only ship to CONUS, shipping costs (from Seattle area) not included in price. Asking $US35 each. These have never been in water, are brand new, and have the older brass fittings.

Greeting from another Seattlite
I'm a transplant as well - I spent a couple years diving a Meg, but went back to open circuit a few years ago. Good to see Seattle represented!

Tuesday night in Puget Sound
Ah thanks for the invite, weeknights are tricky without, uh, advance planning. Hope your dive was fruitful!

Need a new monitor for stills editing
I don't have quite the budget, and ended up ordering a BenQ as well, the PD3205U. It doesn't have the gamut coverage or the calibration built-in, but looks like a reasonable cheaper option. It should arrive Saturday, and will be a badly needed upgrade from the old Dell I've been working with (for my day job) for the last couple years.

Tuesday night in Puget Sound
That looks suspiciously like my Monday night dive at 3 Tree point! Nice images Dave! I believe that crab is actually a Graceful crab (Cancer gracilis) due to the coloration and shape of the shell), but I could be wrong.

Greetings from US (Seattle)
Life and kids has kept me from spending the time on my online presence I used to, but I still get wet pretty regularly up here in the Pacific Northwest waters. Some day I'll have time to publish, but for now all I can do is keep up with my cataloging, species ID, and tagging, so at least when I get back to publishing I'll be ready. Anyway, excited to see what kind of community grows here. Cheers!
