Backscatter Smart TTL for Sony & Olympus
Hm, sad to hear that. So the dimensions of the Backscatter trigger are: 43 x 27 x 21mm The dimensions of the Nauticam Trigger for the a6700 housing are: 52 x 36 x 26.5mm But i guess the dimensions of the backscatter trigger are without the cable for the leds, so that might then be the problem, right?

Backscatter Smart TTL for Sony & Olympus
Thanks for the correction. Are there plans to release a version of the backscatter trigger that will fit in the Nauticam A6700 housing?

Backscatter Smart TTL for Sony & Olympus
I emailed them and asked if the sony trigger will fit into the A6700 housing, this is the answer:

Settings A6700
If i understand corrrect that lens changes its length while zooming from 75mm to 88mm So won't that result in some vingnetting?

Advice Dome or WWL for whales
I tried this with the WWL-1B and different orings with 54mm outer diameter. A 54x4mm oring seems to be too thick, if put between the WWL-1B and the flatport i cant turn the WWL-!B to lock it in place with the bayonet. Same for a 54x3mm. A 54x2mm fits, but won't hold the water in. Can you provide an image that shows how you are placing the oring?

Housing Lanyards
That looks like a great addition.

Housing Lanyards
Its just a basic cobra weave. 12:1 sounds about right, it was something around 1,8m to 2m.

Housing Lanyards
Just took some measurements: Distance of attachment points: 26cm Length lanyard (including boltsnaps): 34cm Length lanyard (without boltsnaps): 19cm This results in ca. 10cm distance between the top of the housing and my finger in the second image.

Housing Lanyards
No, none of these will fit. I emailed Nauticam abouz a handstrap and they confirmed that they are not offering a handstrap for the NA6700 housing.

Housing Lanyards
Yes, they are pretty easy to make. I used this guide to make mine, its in german, but the images show how its done: https://www.paracord.de/paracord-knupftechnik This one creates kind of a double lanyard since you don't stop after reaching one end. Instead you continue to go back to the start (step 11 and following). As for the handstrap i'm thiniking about to create a lanyard with some bungee cord i have laying around. This might make it kind of stretchy so that i can use it with or without gloves.

Housing Lanyards
Well, here it is, my new system: the NA6700 housing with the WWL-1B and a lanyard i made myself. One thing i'd like to add (besides strobes) is a handstrap on the right handle. But sadly Nauticam doesn't have one (i asked them).

A6300 with a Sigma 16mm in a Seafrogs housing and domeport is the system i'm currently using. See some example images here:

Lens options for apsc?
Hello Chip, your info helps a lot, especially the info about using a kit lense with a wet lense. This makes choosing the right port, zoom gear etc. so much easier for me (and propably a bit less expensive).

Lens options for apsc?
Ideally the most versatily option. But i know that some compromises have to be made, so i think i'm mostly into pelagics and reefs. As a future outlook, i'm planing to go to galapagos in late 2025

Lens options for apsc?
Hello, at the moment i'm using a Sony A6300 in a Seafrogs housing but i'm thinking about upgrading to a A6700 in a Nauticam housing and am now looking for lens options. These are the options i have so far: - Tookina 10-17mm fisheye with a small dome like the Zen 100 - The 16-50mm kit lense with a WWL-1b or WWL-C As alternatives to the kitlense i'm looking at the Sigma 18-50 F2.8 or the Tamron 11-20 F2.8 but i'm not sure if these are goot lenses for underwater shots? Thanks for help in advance, Kalle
