  1. From Port Hardy, low file size but, just wanted to show some of the colours. Sorry "colors".

  2. Todd,

You were right the first time! (UK spelling)

I look forward to snapping many more like that in Aug. Drool. Drool.

    Mark

  3. I knew you would pick up on the spelling thus I baited you into it.

  4. RAVEN?

Lot's of these around NS too... but came in bigger files!!!

  5. Raven? You got me on that one. Red Irish Lords (I am sure you are inserting jokes already)

  6. I suppose "Taffyfish" or "Spudcod" would immediatly spring to mind.

In NS they are called Sea Ravens for some obscure reason - They are a member of the family Scorpaenidae

  7. That is correct. I actually remembered that. (Bought a book in Port Hardy last year on Pacific Northwest diving fish ident).

I apologise for the common name as opposed to the scientific.

  8. I love these critters, they remind me of my wife's Grandmother!

Hell, you didn't do Latin at School?

  9. I know I am going to regret this but, no Latin French. I have noticed your emails in french thus my hesitation as you may test my knowledge from years ago.

I'm not a PHD just a little ole Chartered Accountant. (Only 7 years of post secondary education)

  10. They would have only given you 7 years for manslaughter and found you a good job when you got out!!!

  11. Well, thought I'd better say "Hello" to you Port Hardy participants. Todd made sure a 'Yank' will be aboard to keep ya' all on the straight and narrow! I mean it. No fooling around. :freak:

I'm not a great photographer but here's a little teaser from my last trip to Vancouver Is: "I love the smell of barnacles in the morning".

    Nudibranch6_copy.jpg

I really am looking forward to meeting those who will be there in August.

    Rand

  12. "I love the smell of barnacles in the morning".

    You'll like Marks aftershave then!

    Great photo!

  13. Bob are you insulting Rands photography? He has some very nice shots.

I agree though we will have to correct their english regularly. There are actually three Americans onboard and one is a lawyer. Yikes.

    ps My wife being another

  14. Hi Rand,

Look forward to meeting you in Aug. I can see this trip is going to be memorable for a couple of reasons. Judging by some of the photos, the quality of the diving & secondly the bunch going.

Bob, 'an insight into the correct pronounciation of the english language'......I look forward to that myself!!!

    Mark

PS Bless my barnicles! Great shot.

  15. Sorry, I misread what was said...

Mark is full of compliments eh!

BTW English has a capital 'E' not that that is of any real importance...

  16. Hoo boy, already it's starting. And Bob pulls no punches.....Hmmmmmmm

  17. I could add to the "Bob pulls no punches" with an inappropriate comment towards Bob clarifying the word "pull" and "Bob" but, I won't go there.

  18. Now everyone will think you are being unfair to me!

  19. They may think that but, you know better. They could read all the positive comments on your photos etc. Hey,now I sound like Mark.

  20. BTW English has a capital 'E' not that that is of any real importance...

Thanks for correcting me there Bob.

    BTW b*****ks has a capital F.
