I have an update too. One of my Subtronic Alpha Pros developed this problem on the wetpixel shark trip - but despite having more than a month before I went to Bali - they could not get it fixed and back to me in time for that trip.
And guess what - in Bali one of my Subtronic Alphas (the same one again) developed the same fault again.
It is a wierd one - because the other Subtronic Alpha has remained faultless throughout. Luckily I took more than two Subtronics on both trips so shooting remained unaffected.

Maybe it's that extra bit of mustard you have on the back interfering with your electronics... 
I have 2x SS200's and 2 x DS125's if you need to borrow a set.
