I carry to independent portable hard drives that down load directly from my compact flash card. Hard wired and battery powered.
Not only the voltage can be the demise of your electronics. The cycles that your chargers power supply can handle is critical as well. Places like Bonaire have 127 volts 50 cycles. If your power supply is rated only to 60 cycles watch out your going to fry that baby fast.
