To be fair to the Norwegians, I should mention they have lowered their limit this year to 885(from 1052) minkes this year, from an estimated population of 150k minkes. Last year they failed to make the 600 mark due to low demand and difficult conditions. This is the first year the unused quota cannot be carried over to the next year. Then again this is the first year they'll be exporting to Japan too.
