Normally the price for a housing in £'s is about the same as the price in $ in the US. So, $2300 and £2300 seems about right. It is likey to be more expensive in the likes of Germany and Sweden which have higher VAT rates.
It is hardly a surprise that so much uw camera gear gets privately imported.

That's odd, I just phoned Fun-in and was told that $2300 is the price for the housing. They claimed that they don't know of an introductory launch price.
Best check that one again.

Is it not? I have to check my source again. I still think tt he didn't told me wrongly. He claimed tt he ordered one from fun-in
Reef photo is selling for $2.300,00
so, has anyone had a chance to check this out at DEMA? I am strongly considering this housing and would like your impressions.

The ReefPhoto group is at DEMA. Ryan or one of is crafty minions will have experience with this unit.

Eric has a nice Dema coverage of Nauticam displays here:
I thought I should bump this thread back up since it's been a while. Hopefully someone has received their Nauticam housing already and can provide us with a first-hand glimpse.
the Nauticam D90 is the only housing shipping at this time. I know there are many on the wait list for the D700, 7d and D300s housings which should start shipping later this month and into January.
I played with the D90 housing extensively at DEMA and was VERY fond of it. Their engineering is awesome. Very precise, excellent finish on the housing, and extremely ergonomic. The port adapters for pretty much all manufacturers makes this a very economical housing for those already with an SLR housing.
I agree with Mike. Small and ergonomic. The lever release system is very nice. I have D300 (not D300s) housing coming to me in a week or so and am very excited to shoot it.
There are several dealers handling Nauticam sales in the US, including Reef, Backscatter, H20 Photo Pros, and Optical Ocean Sales. Buy from one close to you.

Jack, you ordered a Nauti D300?
Yup! I don't want video and other than that the differences on the D300s are too small for me to want to pony up another $1k.
