Hi, yes I have and it works fine. I don't have CMC so don't know about it.

Thanks for your reply, I recently found a second hand wwl-1 after my original message so was happy to find it fitted as well! Now just looking forward to diving this weekend to test it out!

@newdiver @Harryf are you using a full frame camera or APSC? I'm down the same road, and was looking for somebody who's used the Seafrogs with a Sony full frame, WWL-1, 28-60mm lens, and a seafrogs housing before splurging the cash. Did you use the "short flat" port?

Hi@ashic, I've been using the WWL-1 on the Seafrogs housing. So far it's been great.

I'm using the full frame Sony A7Riv with the 28-60mm lens and the Seafrogs Flat short port with 67mm thread for Sony FE 28-60mm port.

    Any vignetting in the corners?

  5. Any vignetting in the corners?
    I've not noticed any vignetting.

According to the Seafrogs website the port has Optical Glass, quite what that means I'm not 100% sure, but I've used the set up I mentioned above (with two Sea&Sea strobes) on about 25 dives now and optically speaking it's been fantastic. Clear, sharp, no distortion or noticeable vignetting.

However, I have noticed that when I screw the WWL-1 on if you screw it all the way around the in built "hood" covers the the corners when shooting at 28mm. It's easily fixed by unscrewing it slightly and aligning the top of the WWL-1 with the top of the housing.

But for the price I don't have any complaints about the Seafrogs set up. It's all plastic and I did feel a bit nervous on the first dive but so far have had no problems with it. A good pre dive check in the pool / water tanks always helps calm the nerves!

    Awesome, thanks.

Yeah, I've been diving with seafrogs for the A7iii and now the A1 for quite a while. I have a vacuum check system, (and have recently bought one that lets you dive with the checker after sucking out the air... means zero fogging - although I haven't been able to test it as the wiring for that arrived damaged and needs fixing). Zero issues so far in terms of housing integrity. But even with an 8" dome, the IQ could be better. Hence looking into the WWL-1. Now just need to find one of them.

  7. Oh... and by optical glass, it means it's not acryllic (plastic). I'm on my second acryllic dome, and they do tend to scratch rathe easily. Glass is better in that respect.

  8. Awesome, thanks.

Yep I had an acrilic dome of theirs before that was a bit mushy in the corners but the WWL-1 is significantly better

Haha yeah I just meant I'm not sure what qualifies it as "optical" but it made me feel better [emoji28]
