Susa Posted Sunday at 01:00 PM Posted Sunday at 01:00 PM (edited) Hi all, 7 days ahead to my trip to Anilao, I tested my new BS trigger with my Sony A7R5 (connected and disconnected with backscatter HF flash) again (I did it before 4 weeks, and it works all fine), but now it doesn't. The diode is not showing any light. It doesn't work with remoteflash setting on or off. The trigger akku is full, the green light blinking 5 times and then the bluelight is blinkling, Sony setup is on fillflash, M, and like writen, remoteflash on and off Am I doing something wrong? Does anybody here have the same problem. I think I got some of the first BS was selling. Many thanks, I'm a little desperate since this is so short before my trip to the Phillies. 😞 Edited Sunday at 01:05 PM by Susa
Chris Ross Posted Monday at 02:07 AM Posted Monday at 02:07 AM First step is to observe the LEDs to see if they are flashing when you press the shutter button. Check that your hotshoe mount is seated properly as well. Closely inspect the hotshoe, on Sony they have rather fine pins that are easily damaged, see if one of them is bent. Which model do you have the universal with the plug-in LEDs or the Nauticam model? If it's the universal one have you tried swapping between the single and double LED cables? Have you tried it with wireless mode on and off? 1

Now I will get a pair new cables from my dealer. This is the next test. I have the single universal configuration in an Isotta house, and the thing is, it worked before! Unfortunately I do not have the double version.
Chris Ross Posted Monday at 10:36 AM Posted Monday at 10:36 AM When you say it works with a godox flash you mean a godox in the camera hotshoe? The problem with the hotshoes on Sony flashes is the hotshoe connector which is on your flash trigger this one and it's the pins I have indicated that can have problems:
