Planning one of our Bucket List trips for 2026. Dominica Sperm Whale Trip! We have snorkeled with humpbacks in Tonga and had very different experiences. Any suggestions for operators? Also when snorkeling are you allowed to get off the surface a few feet so you are not bouncing around in the chop?

I've not been, a friend of mine Don Silcock had great success late last year, only references I can find online are his Facebook page:

I can fully recommend Franco Banfi from Switzerland. Very small groups, high level of experience, under official permit. We‘ve seen many groups out there and I am quite sure we had the best encounters. It is highly dependent on guide and captain whether and when you find the whales.
