I appreciate this is a slightly strange request, but I just picked up a used UWTechnics trigger (pretty sure it's the 11075 - although the hotshoe is only wired to a 4 wire ribbon rather than the 6 on the photo in the instructions), however it doesn't have the fitting screws/spacers with it.

I know the screw is M3x10 as the instructions state that, but I'm wondering if anyone knows what the spacer size is?

Hopefully it's a standard one that I can get locally, but if not then I do have a 3D printer so could make one in the right size.....I think they're just to make the PCB sit correctly on the block so I guess 3D printing should be strong enough.

If anyone has any dimensions/names for the spacers, that would be very much appreciated 😁

Something like this should work:

https://www.jaycar.com.au/m3-x-6-3mm-tapped-nylon-spacers-pack-of-25/p/HP0920

If the screws are M3 x 10 the spacers would be at most 7 or 8mm long to have enough thread showing through to screw into the housing. If the spacer is threaded it would make it captive to the board, possibly making installation easier.

i can't help with specific dimensions, but the spacers with my UWT board (for a Subal housing) can be no more than 3mm thick.

They are not threaded and, as you say, they are just to help the board sit evenly on the housing and avoid contact between any of the board components/electronics and the housing.

I think you could almost fabricate a couple from cardboard.

Thanks for your help with this!

Ended up printing a few sizes of this out:

M3 round spacers by windrides

M3 round spacersInner diameter: 3mmOuter diameter: 6mmLength: 2mm to 50mm

The 2mm seemed to fit best, in that when I stacked the PCB, spacer and the block, a 10mm screw stuck out 4mm, like the original screw did.

My printer is a bit off so they were a tight fit in the block and the hole needed boring out a little with a bigger Allen key but seems to fit just fine πŸ™‚

Now to decide whether to use this or the TRT!

If it's of any help, I've been using the UWT board for about 8 years and have found it excellent. Batteries (2x CR 2032) last easily through a 2-week dive trip and probably way beyond that. I've switched from Inons to Retras and still use the same board. The UWT has been reliable and (touch wood) problem free. If in the likely event that you do run into problems, Mr UWT, Pavel, is a member on Waterpixels and is very helpful.

I've never used the TRT but, again, Mr TRT is a Waterpixeler and very helpful.
