  1. Nice reports. Have you made a selection yet?
  2. For Sale $250.00 Ohio

Ahoy the Mod Squad--as envisioned, is "original price" the price paid by the seller, or the price being asked?

  3. Shining the light in from outside and taking the LEDs out of the mounts are both excellent ideas--Thanks, Tim. I've found the most frustrating thing about the Turtles is the little bracket between the LED mounts, which isn't quite long enough to stay together (maybe not so on the newer model), nonetheless they're excellent devices, even without interchangeable batteries. And with the OM-1, you can take the mini-flash in case of an issue with the Turtle.
  4. For Sale $250.00 Ohio

Surplus to needs (purchased from Bluewater in May 2023 for $648). White and red lights and zoom beam--a pretty cool instrument. I haven't yet found …

  5. Camera therapy for PTSD? Sounds right to me. I've used the 8mm Panny with the 4.33" Nauticam dome for many years on a series of Olympus bodies, and have never been disappointed by it. Although the OM-1 (mostly, at least) comes with the LM-3 mini-flash, it depends on the camera for power; I've found that the O-Turtle triggers work well (I have the same flashes as you . . . had). All three Olympus/OM macro lenses are excellent; I'm currently enamored of the 90mm, but not everyone is.
  6. What a terrible experience, Tim. Thank you for sharing your story--it is one to learn from and live by. We were on the Philippines Siren last month, and during the very solid safety briefing, the CD offered to put passports in her jump bag, which stayed at the bridge, which on that boat is at the muster station. We didn't take her up on it, but should've done--and will if offered again. In fact, I might suggest it if the crew doesn't. Thinking about the loss of belongings, it occurred to me that on our next LOB--in July, as it happens--I hope to rotate one of the memory cards out of the camera every day or two, and keep it in my jump bag with passports, cash, meds, etc. The photographs are less than insignificant in the grand scheme, but having them might take on new meaning under the circumstances.
  7. I looked forward to every issue. Mr. Rowland is keeping the site alive through w026, and every issue is available for download. It’s a cool way to see how underwater imaging has evolved over the years.
  8. Nice to hear--we have a few days booked with Mr. Corpuz next month.
  9. I'm finding the MFO-3 irresistible. Does anyone have experience with the AOI flip/double-flip adapter? It's certainly more reasonably-priced than the Nauticam.
  10. This has all been sold. Thanks to all!
  11. Dave, what vendor/s do you use/prefer for your prints (or do you 3d print the whole thing!)?

Greetings! Might this be Francois, my blackwater compatriot from Villa Markisa last month?
  13. Agreed! I would just like for someone to be using it.
  14. Trying again here. The strobes have been sold, all else (Nauticam housing, body, lens, port, miniflash/triggers, batteries) just as described/pictured, for $1,000, buyer pays shipping/insurance.
