  1. Thank you, disappointing on the lens then !
  2. Sony just announced their new sony A7V and a new kit lens https://alphauniverse.com/stories/sony-electronics-launches-alpha-7-v-and-fe-28-70mm-f-3-5-5-6-oss-ii/ Personnally, I'd be very interested in seeing how that new kit lens will work with current wet lenses setups from Nauticam.
  3. Very neat ! I was interested in a loupedeck but the eye watering price pushed me to go open source on this one. I bought a MIDI controller and used Midi2LR to program it! works very neatly :) PetaPixelGoing Open Source to Make Your Own Loupedeck AlternativeThere is an extremely talented landscape photographer called Thomas Heaton whose YouTube videos I find very instructive and entertaining. 4. Thank you, i believe they were referencing the Sony 20-70f4, which is a different one than the 28-70 i was asking about. However i did find a comment on wetpixel from Phil comparing both 28-60 vs 28-70, and he mentions he prefers 28-60! (Feb 2021) Thanks!
  5. Thanks, I was asking on 28-70, not 28-60 which as you said has been well documented. I'll check wetpixel if it still works!
  6. Great shots! While i'm familiar with Nikonos adapter for Nauticam, are there similar ones for the Sea&Sea lens?
  7. Has anyone shot the basic Sony 28-70 behind WACP? I'm asking because I was doing some cleaning and found that I had it, but never used it. How does it compare with the 28-60 (which I own and love for its size/quality). Thank you Alex
  8. i have not noticed any optical difference between glass and acrylic. Fragility, weights and cost are the main factor you'll need to consider.
  9. Sorry to hear this then. Does that mean that at the surface, now; none of the strobes work? If they do work at the surface, but not at depth, try unscrewing/rescrewing the PCBs of the battery cap/supercharger. I've had an issue a few years ago where one strobe worked at the surface but not in the dive. I ruled everything out and this was the remaining problematic item. It was a bad contact which i couldn't explain why it behaved as such only at depth.
  10. I concur with Luko, this happened to me with older Eneloops. By any chance, do you always do a Test shot at the surface and does it work there? Are the batteries inserted in the correct way? I tried once and had a battery upside down and the flash worked for a couple of shots until it didn't
  11. Dahab has a well developed Tech scene, I have a sense you may find what you're looking for there. I don't have recommendation but you should check the centers there. It's also a very relaxed location, and i remember it fondly (i used to freedive there). The reef was nice, but i suspect most of the diving there is blue hole related. Ask the dive shops :)
  12. Is it not too cumbersome to have two lenses protruding out when you want to shoot without any diopters? Particularly as it relates to strobe placement? Never used double flip holders so quite curious
  13. Hi Romik, Thank you very much for sharing the beautiful pictures and your thoughts! This is helpful! :)
  14. Hi all, A friend of mine is trying to convince me to join their group for a diving trip to Galapagos in March. They are not photographers. Besides the travel and costs, it seems to me that the photography there is luck dependent and can be hit or miss (on top of difficult visibility at times). Has anyone been there? I'm not convinced that it could be a productive trip compared to other locations (for similar distance/cost). If anyone has pictures to share, i'd love to take a look at them! Thank you
