  1. Yes, it is.
  2. And a little more of info. My HowShot 140 mm glass dome has arrived one week after buying. One week from Taiwan to Spain, not bad at all. I bought it with an extra neoprene cover, so the value for customs was 765 US$. They marked in the customs declaration as a gift, so I paid 10 euros in tariffs. Not a big deal when I was expecting about 200 euros in tariffs. That said, the dome port has nothing to envy Nauticam for, the quality looks fantastic and the lug can be unscrewed, so you can screw the Nauticam lug. Also the shade comes with small allen screws which you can remove and screw for another ones with a plastic grip in order to remove the shade easily. I can't wait to test in the water, but the weather is terrible right now.
  3. More info, my dive budy, who has the same equipment than me but in a Nauticam housing has the same issues than me, so he has bought the Nauticam 140 mm glass dome. In this picture you can see the new Nauticam dome, the lug is machined directly on the body. So it's not an option for the Isotta and Sea&Sea users. My HowShot 140 glass dome port is already in customs Spain, the service from Divervison is really quick, as soon as is in my hands I'll put some pictures here.
  4. Been there in december, your video is exactly as I remember. We did a night dive in Richelieu expecting to be the best dive of the trip and it actually was the worst, during the day Richelieu was quite clear despite the currents but during the nightdive the visibility dropped to 5 meters as much. I would go back to Richelieu, Koh Bohn and the Dome right now, very nice dive. But the Similans are not on the top of the best spots to dive in Asia in my opinion.
  5. Well, I have bought it along with a 60 mm Isotta extension ring, which is what Isotta recommends with all its domes for the combination of the Canon 8-15 Fisheye, Kenko 1.4x and adaptor ring for EF lens to RF camera. Soon we will know it.
  6. I've looking closer that FB page and the last post is from 2014 🙄 and Mr. Chen is their CEO. I also sent an email to Divervision and this is their answer "Howshot 140mm dome port has the same curvature with the one of Nauticam 140mm dome port. The material of the Howshot 140mm dome port is Zeiss glass and aluminium port base. Besides, Howshot 140mm dome port has inside coating the same as the one of Nauticam. " I feel like buying that dome...
  7. 🤣🤣 My chinese is a little bit rusty, I think i'll have to use Google translator. I feel like buying the dome, but I'm afraid it's not what I want and with the quality that I want. I sent an email to Divervision, let's see what do they say
  8. Well, I just sent Divervision en email asking for it, I would prefer a contact with the manufacturer or any user rather than a shop in Taiwan, I' feeling kinda lab rat if I finally buy it.
  9. Thank you, but I don´t find any HowShot website, the only information I can find is the products of the them who s Divervision is selling and Ocean-Photos in Spain, who were their dealer time ago but they don't import their products anymore, and they never had this 140mm dome, so they don't have any information about it.
  10. Well, my dive partner has recently ordered a brand new 140 mm dome Nauticam port for his Nauticam housing, so we will know in a short time if it's true that the new ones comes comes with the lug machined. Yes, I want it to use with the Canon 8-15 Fisheye + Kenko 1.4x. @Walt Stearns is selling this dome in the forum along with a Sigma lens, and he talks fine about it, but I would like to have more information. Also I would buy his dome if it wasn't along with the lens
  11. Absolutely stunning. I have no words. What a great job !!👏
  12. In wintertime, when the mediterranean sea temperature drops to 13-14ºC is when the posidonia becomes greener and shorter. Not as spectacular as a coral reef but it also has its charm.
  13. Yes, I know, If that 6" dome port was glass made I wold probably buy it, but it's plastic.
  14. I was told that new Nauticam version doesn't have the lug rig screwed to the body but machined with it, so if i find an old version second hand would be great. And the Isotta dealer in Spain doesn't recommend this 4,5" dome, he says i still will find blurry corners, a bit less that with the 4" but still a little bit. So I'm looking for different options. And today I have found this Howshot 140 mm dome ports https://www.divervision.com/products/howshot-140mm-optical-fisheye-port-for-seaandsea-nx-s120-mount-ofp-140-s120?_pos=2&_sid=f7fbcc98d&_ss=r Which is glass, and looks like the Nauticam one but for pretty much half the price, but I don't have any reference of it. So basically at this moment I don't know what to do, the only thing I know is that I need a 6" dome port neither smaller nor bigger, I prefer glass, but If I don't find anyone which fits me in terms of money I'm open to plastic domes.
  15. I guess is it's too big for CFWA
  16. Hi all, I'm looking for a 140 mm glass dome port which I can use with my Isotta housing, and due to another post in this forum I have discover this HowShot dome ports which I didn't know. If anyone can give me information about the quality it would be great. After upgrading to the Canon R6 mkII camera in Isotta housing I found out that the corners in the pictures with the 4" dome port are blurry, so I have to purchase a 6" dome port. The options are Nauticam 140mm glass dome port, which are really expensive when I finally adapt it to my Isotta, I also can purchase Sea&Sea and Isotta 6" dome ports but this ones are plastic, and in these brands the glass domes are 6,5" which are to big for CFWA. So this HowShot looks great in size and price, but I don't know anything about them.
  17. Hello,If you are interested in selling separately, I'm interested in the dome port.
  18. Hello, I'm looking to by a 6" dome port, Isotta, Sea&Sea or Nauticam. IF it's Nauticam must have the bayonet screwed to its body in order to change it for a Sea&Sea one. If you have one of these domes with no scratches I'm willing to buy it for a reasonable price.
  19. Well, perhaps the big difference with brands like Retra is that behind it there is a development made by photographs like Alex Mustard who knows what you need underwater. Also I guess that the fact that these strobes have a like slightly cold its because of its price. When you want to make a powerful "inexpensive" strobe you have to save money in some areas, and probably they have save the money in these areas. But, for its price, it is worth it if they don't get broken like the Sea&Sea D1, D2 and D2j. I had all of them, the most expensive strobes I ever had, they last 2 years at most.
  20. I have something new about this strobes. Yesterday in my last dive one of my fiber cables got disconnected from the strobe, my strobe started flashing continuously. My first though was that the strobe was broken, so When I realized that was the cable disconnected, I reconnected it and the strobe stopped flashing, after that the strobe worked normally. It was really sunny and we were in only -2 meters, so my impression is that the slave cell is very sensitive, which is good in order to use thin fiber cables and even to use as a separated from the camera strobe with no need of addition more cables or cells. I'll have to check it in my next dive.
  21. Seafrogs aluminium or plastic ?
  22. Very good information, if we can't trust a brand new port...Anyway, at the time that I was about to buy a Seafrogs aluminum housing I contacted directly the manufacturer and after a misunderstanding I though I was going to be scammed. Finally they told me that the aluminium section and the plastic section are totally different, with different engineers based in different factories and in different cities. I was told they share the name but nothing else.
  23. I've been to the red sea 3 times, two of them from Sharm el Sheikh and another one from Hurghada. This is everything north Red Sea, if you expect big stuff is not the place, Although I dove with dolphins for more than one hour in Abu Nuhas reef, very good spot for wrecks. And I dove with a big hammerhead in gordon reef, that's all north. If you are lucky you'll dive alone in the scattered spots, but in famous spots like Abu Nuhas will be a bit crowded, and if you go to the very famous Thistlegorm you'll dive probably with more than 200 divers at the same time, it's very crowded, but it's worth it. Be careful with the boat you choose, a few of them say they are luxury and charge like luxury when they are actually not. I was in the Agressor II in October 2024, they sell luxury, but it's not. Not a bad boat for a normal price in Egypt north, 1300 € more or less for a cruise saturday to saturday plus flights, plus tips, plus beers..., but nothing else, even they are very friendly and well equipped for photographers, big tables for the cameras and air whips to dry up the housing after rinsing.
