New in Box unused Ikelite was the first company to introduce TTL for underwater strobes with Nikon DSLR cameras, and continues to set the standard for accuracy of Nikon TTL flash protocol. According to Ikelite: Link is independently waterproof sealed. Faster, more accurate, and more reliable than fiber optic TTL triggers. Switch between TTL and manual flash operation with the press of a single button. Improves strobe battery life and recycle times. Supports rear curtain synch and flash exposure (EV) compensation set in the camera. Supports a wide selection of camera models. Simply use an Ikelite dual synch cord to fire two strobes in TTL from a single link converter. Retails for $350 Asking 300$ free shipping

Subal ND800 Housing with FE4 Dome+ Nikon D800 Camera w/ lots of Extras Complete kit comes with everything needed to shoot except strobes and cords. Highly customized Subal ND800 housing and a Nikon D800 camera with many extras Housing comes with Subal GS 180 Viewfinder which is a 1.5 magnification Also included is the huge Subal Glass Dome port FE-4 with a very nice Neoprene cover and cap This Dome has scratches on outer plastic shade and do not affect a thing and an extremely small one on dome maybe 1/16 of an inch. Too small to be of any concern. Glass in in super condition Also included is a 40mm extension ( type 4 ) ring for the dome port with original box Rear back of Housing is black. This was done by Subal at factory as this was ordered new from them to make the D800 LCD screen more visible in ambient light. Many upgrades were done at this time. This Subal housing is the type 4 newer larger diameter system Included is the leak detector vacuum seal check from Vivid housing a V5 with a manual pump and an electric vacuum pump and operating manual. This system works great and gives you a green flashing light when operating. Housing also has the Subal stock wet noise/flashing leak detector system with new battery installed. It’s never been flooded The housing has a custom lever for the flash compensation control which allows you to keep that button on the camera to depressed which allows you to shoot a sequence of shots quickly at different flash compensations in TTL. This is a game changer to get the best light on the subject You can also shoot the camera in manual as well. The camera is set up for TTL shooting now on the menu settings I used Ikelite 161 strobes set on TTL and a Y cable with a TTL converter on this camera setup but it can be fiber optic or two corded with included double bulk heads If you want to pick up the ikelite y cable and TTL converter I have those soon for sale as well and will give you a deep discount on them as a system buyer . I also have viewfinder adaptor to allow the use of a Nauticam viewfinder to be installed in a Subal housing if interested same deal The Subal viewfinder is very fine but the Nauticams are a bit of an upgrade The housing is wired for manual or TTL shooting with TTL strobes but can be shot on manual setting as well The wiring goes directly from The D800 hot shoe to a Subtronic N5 external bulkhead with all 5 wires connected. The critical push buttons on back have been replaced with stainless steel buttons that have a grove in them to grasp and pull outward if needed as well as heavy duty springs as Subal buttons have been known for sticking and this cures that. See the button photo to view these. The Camera has 12,600 activations on it and comes with the Nikon MH -25 battery charger and two batteries a compact flash card. The D800 used two Cards of different sizes. Comes with new camera strap, and Manuals and the USB to camera cord not in photos Camera is in excellent condition Spare parts incudes Two new main housing O-rings Original back buttons Subal eyepiece wrench Camera body cap and housing body Subal cap and wide-angle Subal port cap included One extra hot shoe with cable One bulkhead cover to fill whatever hole you choose One original- two external Subal Nikonos style 5 pin port bulkheads with circuit board and hot shoe/cable (came with housing) One extra Subal D800 tray This is complete kit with lots of extras and spares . Great deal for anyone looking to take quality underwater photos. Camera has a very low shutter count as mentioned above asking $2,100 or best offer, plus shipping UPS ground at discount rate

I'm shooting the D850 and like you am really pleased with the photos-and its really all about that the photos. I'm a bit different as I use the autofocus function in the 850 (plus or minus to control light) which most here would never think of using as they are dug in manuel shooters as I was for 35 years. That said I used to shoot a D300 and use all my FX lens and started to swicth out to the cheaper lighter DX lens which after decades of real glass heavy lens seems odd to deal with as they seem like toys. That rig was super small and light. The issue with cropped sensor with non DX lens is it gets you further away from subjects which as we all know puts more water between us and subject the classic no no in underwater photo. As I'm older now and the D850 rig is huge and heavy the day will come when that to much. By then I hope they will have a auto foucs rig the size of a go pro and stopes that match.

No treason to change yet for me-the housing are not that smaller or that much lighter and I'm super happy with my lens that are yet to be made for mirrorless.

This is a good idea if it can work with your software. Also prevents scammer issue to some degree.

Oldtimer here ,been shooting photos underwater since 83 Bla Bla bla . Shot all the Nikonos junked Ikelight housing early on switched to aluminum housings in 86 and been thru a lot of then since then. Aquatica then lots of Subals now Nauticam. Done lots of diving in past 45 years from some light commercial work to personal salvage but most is with a camera in hand. I have a few boats and a few compressors and am a certified tank inspector . Now i'm sticking to my D850 and until housings get lighter and small I'll stay with a mirror camera. I have been thru more Nikon lens that you can imagine over all those years. Good to have a solid site that will not fade away now
