  1. Does anybody happen to own or have access to a Nauticam housing for the Olympus EM-5 (mark 1, but I think the newer versions are a very similar size) and a Nauticam 7D housing or a TG5/6/7 housing (seafrogs/olympus/other), that wouldn't mind take a picture of the housings next to each other? I have both the TG and 7D set ups and would like to see how the EM5 compares to them size-wise. Many thanks, Gwilym.
  2. To the set the scene, I am a divemaster moonlighting as an underwater photographer, who needs something smaller to carry with me when guiding clients. My usual setup is a 7d in nauticam housing, though obviously this is totally impractical to carry with me on a daily basis. The best compact option seems to be the canon g7x. However, I am feeling quite a lot of sticker shock when seeing the prices for even a used g7x mark I. For the same price I can also get a new r100 or r50, which IMO seems to be much better value and only slightly bigger than the g7x. The cons for the r100/r50 seem to be that only ikelite and nauticam have options and that the nauticam uses the n50 port (there is no n50 to other size adapter as far as I know). This means I'd be limited to a 3.5inch dome on the nauticam (not ideal for under/overs, but better than a wet lens on the g7x). Does anybody have experience with both the g7x and r50/r100 and comment on how bulky they are underwater and if there is really much of a notable benefit in 1 system over the other? TIA
  3. Thanks. I've already spoken to him and he has housings, but no cameras. I was hoping to find somebody selling both together
  4. I'm looking to buy a G7X mark i, ii or iii and housing. If you have 1 that you're looking to sell, please let me know. In the US or Costa Rica would work best. TIA
  5. Does anybody have a underwater housing for a tg5 or tg6 they want to sell? TIA
  6. If @ridgebackpilot changes his mind I'll take it
  7. Did you have a leak sentinel on this housing when it flooded?
  8. I was looking at these the other day. Do you happen to know what's the difference between the inon ad and ld mounts?
  9. Hi, it seems like there's a lot of intercompatibility between different versions of the Sony RX100 housings. Are all UW housings for this camera compatible with all the different versions of the body (i->vii) or are there any notable housings or versions of the camera which are not compatible? TIA
  10. I'm looking to buy a Canon g9x (any version) with a housing (fantasea seems like the best option, but open to other offers). Located in North America or Costa Rica would work best for me, Thanks.
  11. I'm looking at these 2 options as a camera to take with me when DMing. Therefore one of the main requirements is that's it's small enough to be clipped onto my harness and not get in the way when I need to assist a customer. I'll mostly be using it with just the onboard flash, though I might be able to add a strobe occasionally. A secondary use will be a camera for my partner to use when I'm diving with my larger DSLR rig. TG Advantages: smaller, better macro Disadvantages: no manual o shutter priority G9X Advantages: bigger sensor and manual mode Disadvantages: bulkier, macro mode not as good as TG (therefore might be necessary to buy WA and macro wet lenses). I intend to partly use the camera to take photos of clients, but mostly just to have a camera with me for when a good photo op arises. The ability to do decent macro is important for when my partner uses it. Thanks for reading and if you have experience with either or preferably both of these systems I'd love to hear your opinion. If there's a particular reason to go with a newer g9x version I'd also appreciate the advice. Likewise, if you have a camera and housing for sale, please let me know. Thanks Gwilym
  12. Is there much difference between Malta and Gozo in housing cost?
