I figured it would be a Waterpixels shooter who would be first in the water with this. That advert @Davide DB makes me cry.

Nauticam N85 housing & ports options for Sony APS-C
@Craine@Lewis88 Thanks folks. I've always wondered about making the Nauticam work with the A6xxx series since SeaFrogs could do it. The bulkhead charging is genius.

Nauticam N85 housing & ports options for Sony APS-C
@Lewis88 "I added Nauticam's M16 USB-C bulkhead, so I can charge my camera with everything assembled and vacuum pulled instead of disassembling to change batteries." @Craine The zed batteries have been a game changer for the A6xxx series. I have an A6600 but unhoused. I also have an old Nauticam housing for the A6000 - any idea if I can fit a newer A6 body in there?

Nauticam N85 housing & ports options for Sony APS-C
@Craine I think the form factor and specs of the A6700 are really good, especially video. I would go that route if I didn't already have the A7c, housed in Nauticam. I'm sure you'll like Nauticam much better than Sea Frogs, which is really worth it for serious photo- video- graphers. I also like smaller APS-c lenses, which are great for carrying around topside. The Nauticam port chart for APS-c Sonys isn't complete, I agree.

Canon G9X (I,II, III) w/ fantasea housing vs Olympus TG 4,5,6,7 w/ Olympus housing
Another consideration, at least for me, is battery life. The TG wins here. I always liked the S and G Canons, and the Sony RXs, but their battery life sucks. Also, if you’re shooting ambient light and on-camera strobe only for macro, you might want a camera that is easier to white balance at depth. I think the TG wins here, too. Ultimately I would love a compact with a 1” sensor or bigger, manual controls, hot shoe, very close focusing and sharp optics - great tracking autofocus - 4k 60p video that shoots log with good control of rolling shutter. You know, the perfect camera. I’ve always loved compact cameras but they all have caveats. The best camera is the one you’ll carry and use. To get better images, though, your kit will get bigger and bigger.

Gopro 12 timelapse
I've taken some stills from video, and if the lighting is good, it looks passable. Generally I try not to do that. On my Hero 7 black, I have it set to video by default. To shoot still JPEG photos at intervals between 0.5 to 5 seconds: Swipe left > TIME LAPSE > ICON (lower left) > scroll down to Time Lapse Photo > Command Bar > set intervals (0.5 to 5 seconds). Hope this helps.

Gopro 12 timelapse
@Gmsalterego I think I understand what you are trying to do. A friend of mine will set up his GoPro to shoot two frames a second, and that handles his stills all right. If memory serves, these are JPG images. I gave up trying to shoot RAW stills as the shutter delay is far too long.

Existing Inon Z-240 died
Any strobe you like will work but as Chris says, balancing them will be easier if they’re the same. I do have a friend who uses a z240 and a z330 at the same time and his photos look good.
