I spoke to UK Tokina rep last week. He said Tokina Japan are well aware of a demand - and also note that the number of full frame DSLR shooters is increasing all the time. But they won't tell him whether they are working on one - or they have decided not to.

Wasn't it co-designed with Pentax?? Or was it licensed from Pentax? Because pentax has no full-frame camera yet and maybe they are not that interested in the development of a full-frame fisheye lens.
Does anyone know about the origin of this lens??

The lens is an exact copy of the Pentax 10-17. Not sure about licensing etc.
Pentax did make a full frame equivalent as Alex mentioned, which is no longer available so hopefully something like it will be resurrected.

I've searched a bit and found the pentax 17-28mm f/3.5-4.5 fisheye zoom.:
But I still think that pentax is not really interested in the resurrection of this zoom due to the lack of fullframe dslr camera in its list. Maybe selling the license to tokina would help them?
Tokina made the 10-17mm for Pentax.

It's for sure that Tokina produced the Pentax as well, but I'm also sure that there was some know-how from the pentax engineers. Pentax made the first fisheye zoom, and tokina produce lens for canon and nikon end only. This exception may explain some transfer of knowledge.
Anyway, let's hope that they will develop a full-frame version.
