What are these spirals at the dwarf gobi?

The photo shows a dwarf gobi (Pleurosicya micheli) from Mafia Island/Tansania. It has attached two spirals at its side (I have seen such spirals at these dwarf gobies occasionally aready before). What is it (eggs, parasites)?

I think the spirals are the egg cases of the copepod, not the copepod itself. We have video where you can see blood flowing through the parasite when the fish's heart beats.
