  1. I agree with the above posts. I started with a APS-C and now mainly shoot FF. My Sony/Nauticam is a lot smaller than my Canon 5DMk4/Nauticam and only a little larger than my Canon M50ii/Nauticam. I think with new lenses not really being released that are good for underwater the Nauticam lens route seems to be the best way to go. The Sony 28-60mm is a small and cheap lens but behind the WACP-1 it's amazing and extremely versatile. And Nauticam seems to be doing a lot of development around this lens.
  2. I'm thinking about using one of my wifes' purses. They are big enough and the amount of crap she can carry in it will blow your mind. lol I have a Cinebags XL too. It's nice but I also have an AO cooler bag that is no frills and pretty heavy duty. We got it for shore diving Bonaire. Trying to walk in and out of some of the rocky beaches with large camera gear is too much of a risk. Did it one year and damaged some gear. Now one holds the cameras in the water while to other goes out, takes off their gear then comes back in with the padded bag and floats the camera to the shore.
  3. Awesome! I was running out of stuff to watch...
  4. That's good to know. Thanks
  5. Phil, any chance they are going to be making any warming filters to bring the color temp down to around 4600k? Also I already have the Soft Pro, will there be a built in bayonet so no adapter will be needed?
  6. No longer available....
  7. 90mm macro might be a bit much for the 6300 since it's a crop sensor. Remember you're getting 1.6x the lens. So it'll be like 144mm which makes it hard to find your subject and focus. It can be done, it's just a challenge. I have a 6300 that I've used a Canon 100mm macro but only on land. I'd go with what Lewis88 said. Back button to get close, peaking and rock back and forth. As for the ports, I shoot with Nauticam housings and ports. I get the ports with the knobs even though most of the time I don't even put a ring on the lenses. I'd rather pay the extra now and have it if I want it then not have it and have to buy another port the same size as the one you got originally.
  8. So I'm considering purchasing a focus light. I have a light now that I'll use sometimes but it's really just a big video light. So I'm looking for recommendations and why. I'm considering the Kraken Hydra 1500+ WSR. Also looking for something as I build to do some blackwater in the near future.
  9. Great video. Not bad for just a GoPro. Thanks for sharing!
  10. I'm wondering if this is only at the airports. I'm in Phoenix and there's a liveaboard that leaves out of Rocky Point just about 2 hours south. We were going to drive into Mexico but I'm not going to play the "Tax" game.
  11. I use the 0.8:1 with both my DSLR and mirrorless and love it.
  12. This is a great subject. I’m currently using the Sony 28-60mm with my WACP-1 and have considered getting a 28-70mm but just never did because I didn’t want to add the extra extension even though I travel with it for my 230 dome. has anyone shot both the 28-60mm and the 28-70mm and have real world results?
  13. My wife’s a flight attendant and she said one of the pilots took his banjo with him to practice during a layover in Cancun and they made him pay tax on it because they said he could make money with it. So it’s happening in other ports now too.
  14. Oh and PM me if you're interested. I'm going to give it about a week before listing it other places at a slightly higher price.
  15. So I've decided to sell off one of my housings. This one is for the Canon 5Dmk4. It also comes with a Nauticam flash trigger and already has bulkheads for electronic triggering. The housing is in fantastic condition and was only used a few times. As you can see in the photos that there aren't any mares or scratches and even the screen is perfectly clear. It also has the Nauticam vacuum system and a lanyard. This is in mint condition. $2300 USD plus shipping. Shipping from Phoenix Arizona USA. Any of the shinny marks you see on it was because I ate a burrito before taking the photos.
  16. Well I didn't get to do a lot a travel with starting a new company but we have lots of plans for next year. I have a few great photos but this one stands out for me. Not that it's award winning or even publishable. I just like how it looks. It was taken during a night dive in Kona Hi.
  17. WACP - WOW, AWESOMELY, COOL, PORT! ( just kidding)
  18. FCP: Fisheye Conversion Port
  19. I just received my WaterPixels t-shirt and mug yesterday and I've got to say they look great. I'm looking forward to wearing the new shirt on a couple of trips coming up and a photo workshop. Support the community and get the word and pick one up.
  20. I think with AI it's all about honesty. Be honest with what you create. I personally like seeing an artistic perspective but the artist needs to disclose the process of the art.
  21. Welcome from Gilbert, AZ
  22. Might be really nice as a black and white too.
  23. Beautiful. I think I'll need to upgrade to the A7Rv from my A7Riii sooner than later.
