  1. @PeterN OK, I threw together a short video. It isn't edited well, and I kept in some of the jerky motion to show more of what the experience was like. I hope you enjoy it. https://youtu.be/oZFgh80ZIsQ
  2. @bghazzal I was about to ask the same thing!
  3. Yeah, quite likely. They tend to hang out in a fairly shallow area. I will see what I can put together.
  4. It is a very cool experience. I got some great sots of a crocodile swimming within a few feet of my camera. Really awesome stuff. Perhaps I will try and re-edit just that part of my Cuba video for the group here, if I get some time. It was a little shaky as I recall, because everything was happening very quickly.
  5. That brings back lots of good memories of a great trip. Thanks
  6. Yes, it was the original cable that came with my GH5 housing when I bought that, and the GH6 is even tighter. Ahhh, I understand.
  7. That would be more than a minor problem to me. Sorry that happened to you.
  8. While diving with Reef Photo at the Blue Heron Bridge recently using a rental GH6, I discovered that there isn't really enough room between the camera and a Nauticam housing for the internal HDMI cable. I had to shave some of the rubber off the connector to get it to close. I made sure that Reef Photo knew about it, so they could talk with Nauticam about it. I am not sure if there might a "low profile" connector or something that might help, but it will probably also be an issue with the GH7 since it uses the same housing.
  9. Great article thanks. I have been thinking about CCR for a while now, due to the reasons that you discuss. I have held off since most of my recreational diving, where I am really doing videography is travel-oriented and I worried about that. Perhaps you can do a follow-up article on traveling with a CCR? That would be really helpful.
  10. When the vacuum system electronics failed in my GH5 housing, as I recall, I sent it to Reef Photo and they had it back very quickly.
  11. Hmmmm, my current favorite lens "Olympus M. Zuiko Digital ED 60mm f2.8 Macro" is on the list...
  12. That makes me want to dive there!
  13. Good to hear, thanks.
  14. I was watching the hurricane tracks and wondering how the folks at Reef Photo did. Is everyone OK?
  15. Here's review from Interceptor121 with the camera in the water for anyone who hasn't already seen it: https://interceptor121.com/2024/08/16/panasonic-gh7-review-for-underwater-photography-autofocus/ and his second review: https://interceptor121.com/2024/08/21/panasonic-gh7-review-for-underwater-photography-image-quality-and-housing-ergonomics/ They are a bit short on details, but are generally complimentary.
