Cool, thanks. -
Editing - any value in a tablet and stylus?

I had not heard of Loupedeck before, but unfortunately, it appears that they don't support the video software that I prefer (Pinnacle Studio). Oh well, they look interesting though. -
FWIW, I use my video lights on low setting as my lights for night dives, but I add a couple of extra older, retired lights as backups, just in case I run into a problem.

Well, I found a used GH6 housing and was pretty much set to pre-order a GH7 and buy the GH6 housing now. However, I had a talk with the sales rep (who would have been the one selling both of those items), and he suggested that I wait until they can get some time underwater with a GH7. His reasoning is that one of the main problems with the GH6 that caused it to be such a flop is that Panasonic messed up something in the white balance, especially for video, which is all that I shoot, and he does not know if that has been corrected with the GH7. That was enough to convince me to wait a bit for now. I have a trip to the Blue Heron Bridge lined up for September, so I will need to have a camera for that trip. Anyway, just wanted to update you with that, and see if anyone else has heard something similar?

wet lens thread stuck on flip holder

@Cromagnon I am also a fan of Kroil, it is good stuff. I haven't tried it on anything optical yet, though. -
How about this: https://www.bluewaterphotostore.com/aquatica-panasonic-gh6-housing Unfortunately, I have several ports for my current Nauticam housing, that I am probably going to have to stay with Nauticam.

Agreed, but at least new ones are available, if pricey, and won't need to be designed and manufactured.
-
Being able to use a GH6 housing will mean that we will be able to get housings right away. I am severely tempted, and was wondering about housings, this answers the questions, thanks. Now, I need to figure out if I can afford one.

Wow, that might hurt my wallet, too.

I dove Aqaba about 10 years ago, and second the trips to Petra, the Dead Sea and Wadi Rum. We rented a car, and did a loop to take in all three of those sites in one day. It was a long day, but well worth it. If you have the time, take more than one day for them, though. I just prefer being underwater...

Thanks, I do know Mickey and have a signed copy of his book next to my desk. Good idea to reach out to him. Will do, thanks.

OK, let me see if I can find a good frame, that's a good thought. Thanks. Thanks, that's interesting.

Wonderful, thanks both of you ( @bghazzal and @Chris Ross ) Since I only shoot video, that's all that I have.
-
Well, I posted this to Youtube - unfortunately, it appears that they reduced the resolution, but perhaps it is still visible enough to ID the fish. Thanks for the help:

Oh, OK. Sorry, I did not realize that you were not allowing videos now. I don't have any good way to store it externally, though.

Can anyone see this short video? When I try to view it, I don't see anything. Is there something that I have done wrong? It was saved in the *.mp4 format

I suspect that this is a juvenile of something, but I am not sure what. With the surge, this is about the best that I could do. It was in about 15 feet of water, at CoCoView Resort in Roatan, Honduras. Thanks for any suggestions that you can offer.

O-rings for discontinued parts
SwiftFF5 replied to Sarthur1's topic in Photography Gear and Technique
If the OP is in the US, McMaster-carr has a great selection of o-rings. You just need to determine the correct size. https://www.mcmaster.com/products/o-rings/ -
Very nice!

Thanks @Davide DB - that is my experience as well, and it just seemed odd that it was the only one like that. You may be right about the sub-forum, though, but it does make the main forum slightly more difficult to use. Thanks to you and all the moderators for their hard work on this forum, your efforts are appreciated.

I am using a Dell desktop PC running Windows 11 and a FireFox browser. What is odd is that only this one forum is different from all the others. Odd indeed. Thanks

Nope, the bottom looks like this: All the other forums look like this at the top: Whereas "Critter Identification looks like this: Does that help at all?

All I see are "View", "Sort By" and "Filter" buttons

I am using a Windows 11 computer, using FireFox as the browser.
