Do people still care about Photography Competitions?
Frankly, to me, the idea of the art of videography (I only do video) and competitions are inherently at odds. I have no interest in such competition and really don't even look at them, except as photos to see. I often prefer some of the runner-ups to the actual award winners.

3min videos, voiceover or text "slides"?
It partly depends on the context. If it is going to be shown where it might be noisy, or otherwise hard to hear, text messages are much more reliable.

EMWL angle relay lens question!
What @Isaac Szabo said. I love my monitor, but it does have some down sides.

The end of Light & Motion
That is a shame.

New Year Resolutions and G.A.S.
Mostly because I tend to get sidetracked by other options - paralysis by analysis. As I mentioned in another thread, I think that I want to move from my GH-5 to the new GH-7. That will require a new housing, but I can keep my current ports and lenses. This makes the most sense, but I start looking at all the other options, and the cost and then get stuck. I am lucky in that my partner actually doesn't mind what I spend on underwater video equipment, it is still cheaper than what I spend on sports cars and motorcycles...

New Year Resolutions and G.A.S.
I am just about at option "c) buy more gear" - but can't seem to pull the trigger yet for some reason.

Maintenance
I like to keep things as simple as I can...

Maintenance
I also remove my handles for travel, but clean and dry the bolts, then put them back in the holes that they came out of so that I know where they go.

I guess I am showing my age...

Since the flag above your profile suggests that you are in Europe, you may want to switch back to PAL. As I understand it, NTSC is primarily used in the Americas, while most of the rest of the world uses PAL.

Cuba - Los Jardines de La Reina, Gardens of the Queen
@PeterN OK, I threw together a short video. It isn't edited well, and I kept in some of the jerky motion to show more of what the experience was like. I hope you enjoy it. https://youtu.be/oZFgh80ZIsQ

@bghazzal I was about to ask the same thing!

Cuba - Los Jardines de La Reina, Gardens of the Queen
Yeah, quite likely. They tend to hang out in a fairly shallow area. I will see what I can put together.

Cuba - Los Jardines de La Reina, Gardens of the Queen
It is a very cool experience. I got some great sots of a crocodile swimming within a few feet of my camera. Really awesome stuff. Perhaps I will try and re-edit just that part of my Cuba video for the group here, if I get some time. It was a little shaky as I recall, because everything was happening very quickly.

Kraken 5.5 "ultra bright"u/w monitor
Yes, it was the original cable that came with my GH5 housing when I bought that, and the GH6 is even tighter. Ahhh, I understand.

Minor Issue with Mexico Customs
That would be more than a minor problem to me. Sorry that happened to you.

Kraken 5.5 "ultra bright"u/w monitor
While diving with Reef Photo at the Blue Heron Bridge recently using a rental GH6, I discovered that there isn't really enough room between the camera and a Nauticam housing for the internal HDMI cable. I had to shave some of the rubber off the connector to get it to close. I made sure that Reef Photo knew about it, so they could talk with Nauticam about it. I am not sure if there might a "low profile" connector or something that might help, but it will probably also be an issue with the GH7 since it uses the same housing.

Underwater Photography with a Rebreather
Great article thanks. I have been thinking about CCR for a while now, due to the reasons that you discuss. I have held off since most of my recreational diving, where I am really doing videography is travel-oriented and I worried about that. Perhaps you can do a follow-up article on traveling with a CCR? That would be really helpful.

Greetings! I'm looking for a GH5 Nauticam Housing :-)
When the vacuum system electronics failed in my GH5 housing, as I recall, I sent it to Reef Photo and they had it back very quickly.
