Olympus TG-7 with Olympus Circular Fisheye Converter FCON-T02
https://www.ikelite.com/blogs/reviews/olympus-fcon-t02-circular-fisheye-and-tough-tg-6-underwater-photos It seems that the extreme vignette is an expected result from this combination?

Humpback Whale Calf
@bghazzal I went with Daisuke from Okinawa 39ers who I've joined for all my Okinawa trips. I went for two days, and only managed to see the whales in the water on the 1st day. On the 2nd day, we only managed to see them on the boat, and couldn't see them when we went in the water. For the 1st day, there were only the four of us + two guides, so it was quite comfortable under water. The 2nd day, there were probably 9 of us + 3 guides, so it was a bit crowded. Daisuke did emphasise no fin kicking, no free diving and no swimming towards the whales. However, on the 1st day, the calf got so close to some of us that they had to take evasive manoeuvres. It also took us almost the entire morning (7am - 12pm) to see the first few whales from the boat, and then the next 1-2 hours to get in the sea to join them. The sea was quite choppy on both days without any breaks so sea sickness meds were a must. I still got seasick on day 2 and had to puke (I am quite susceptible to sea sickness though). Also, although the water temperature was fine with a 5mm wetsuit, when back on the ship the wind chill was quite severe. Probably a neoprene jacket to wear when back on board would have helped. Daisuke mentioned that February may be the busiest month during the season and he mentioned that sometimes there were up to 10(?!) boats per pod of whales, which sounds crazy. I was discussing with someone who had done the whale swim three times, and we were wondering whether the whale swim would be able to continue indefinitely. For the second day, there were three boats following the same pod of whales, and started to feel a bit like we were harassing the whales a bit too much.

The Warming Diffuser Discussion ( and Gels ) for Bluewater Strobe Photography
Lightroom masks have improved a long way, but it will still struggle with fine details such as coral. I also prefer getting everything correct in camera. Set the WB to the level of the diffusers and make minor global WB corrections in lightroom.

[4k Video] Koh Lipe, Thailand
Are you using a tray system? That might help with the hand held stability, so you don't need to introduce as much stabilisation in post. The AutoWB seems to be working great.

Tiger Sharks video on Apple Vision Pro
I met someone on a liveaboard with an Insta360 Pro 2 in a Mantis sub housing. His company was making VR experiences for the Vision Pro.

Gopro13 Gopro Labs Firmware (testing underwater)
I don't think WBDV or red filters should be used with dive lights due to the mixed light problem. I'd love to see examples of WBDV in ambient lighting.

Settings A6700
Yea, put your subject in the centre of the focus box (which can be on the side of the screen if you set a custom focus point), single button press the tracking on toggle button, and it will start tracking. You can cancel with the same button or the center button in the dial.

Settings A6700
Yes that's what I'm doing in the youtube video. EDIT: of course you'd have to check if this option is available on the A6700, this is the A7C2.

Settings A6700
No no the third option (Tracking On by custom key) is the one which works!

Settings A6700
@bghazzal hope this explains everything. Toggle seems much more convenient. I think the first sentence where it mentions setting "wide as focus area" is a bit of a misnomer, it only seems to track the subject at the location of the focus box.

Settings A6700
Oh I found a workaround. In the menu --> Video Custom Key/Dial Set --> you can set a button to Tracking On. Quick test seems to work well with a center AF focus area. Hope that helps you @bghazzal EDIT: Tracking on toggle works even better, you don't have to hold onto the button and it stays on the subject.

I can confirm my A7C2 also has this limitation. Disappointing.

Best action cam underwater option in 2024?
The number of "pro" settings available via GoPro labs makes the tinkerer in me aiming for best performance much prefer the GoPro. After playing around with the Insta360 1 inch RS Pro for land use, I've sworn off Insta360. They may be suitable for quick clips for social media, but if you want to do any post-processing, there's absolutely zero support.

Gopro13 Gopro Labs Firmware (testing underwater)
Hi I've also been reading your discussions with dnewman on github. Have you been able to test out the white balance improvements underwater? Mainly curious about the WBDV setting.

Do you have a link to the exact product? The rubber on my Nauticam pump broke and I'm looking for a spare.- Hello from Hong Kong!

STL please 😍- attach your dive computer to your camera?
$80 USD for a 3D printed plastic part is quite expensive, although I do agree the design is quite clever.- Auto review images A7rV
The playback should be showing the embedded jpeg, so even when the highlights are blown out in the preview, they can sometimes be saved in the RAW file. If the jpg is coming out dark, maybe you have a picture profile turned on somewhere? - Essential Spares for Underwater Photography?
