Nikon Z7 2 VS Nikon Z8 for underwater photography
Hello everyone Despite the fact that I believe this question is not very original, I would like to hear your thoughts on it. Currently, I have a Nikon Z8 and a Nikon Z7 2. The Z8 is my primary camera for wildlife photography (on land) and the Z7 2 is my backup camera and my underwater camera with an Isotta housing. In terms of autofocus and frame rate, the Z8 is clearly superior to the Z72. I can't enjoy the high speed underwater because I'm limited to strobe speed and, while focusing speed and tracking are advantages, I usually don't follow a cheeta underwater.. So, is it worth buying an underwater housing for the Z8 for better results, or are the differences in real life marginal? Cheers Ido P.S. In the attached pic - I wish In had the Z8 when I took this shot..

Underwater scooters and underwater photography
Thank you so much for your response. The Britannic is way beyond my reach (120 meters..), but I wish I could dive there one day.

Underwater scooters and underwater photography
Hi What do you think of underwater scooters when you want to save some energy while diving ? With all that camera gear and that scooter, how do you do it? Thanks

The sharks and the hot tub
It was only 30 minutes drive from my house to an interesting spot. A massive power plant right next to the beach draws dozens of sharks each winter - mostly females. There's a weird scenario happening in a very small place. In a disturbingly confined area, sharks, divers, snorkelers, kayakers are all together. With limited success, a helpless renger tries to control the traffic. Poor visibility, strong currents, and old fishing gear on the seafloor make it challenging to dive there. Is that an interesting experience? Yes. Recommended? Not really.

Hey! look at this tiger shark !
Hey guys! I have a bad attitude towards AI. It's frustrating to think that the line between "real" and "fake" is fading. Unfortunately - the technology is getting better and better thanks to the endless amount of pictures and photos that the AI engines take as a reference without any permission. Yet, when I edit a picture in Lightroom, I'm also "cheating". Lightroom uses AI without calling it that. Removing backscatters, sharpening blurred objects, etc. Are all part of this revolution. What are your thoughts? Here is a "pic" of a tiger shark I created in AI. Best wishes for the holidays Ido

John Dory
Stunning pic. Like a creature from the deep I can't see the first pic. Probably because it is in Raw format

Your Favourite Photo Of 2023
Hey everyone Here are 2 pics I really like from 2023 The first one is a favorite because it reminds me of the first time I swam with a whale shark. First time I had a scuba trip abroad (Maldives) It was a breath taking moment (literally - I am a terrible free diver) - and I had a bonus : Only when I saw the picture on my computer - I noticed a shark few meters beneath us. The second picture (yes, I'm cheating too..) has a special meaning for me: This is from the first time my son and I scuba dived together. Wow, what an experience! (Nikon Z7 2 Nikon 8-15 lens Isotta housing . The first without strobes - the second with two)

Hi. This September I spent (sorry for the pun) a week in Hanifaru bay - Maldives . We had a bad luck - Not a single manta in the "manta bay" during the best season - all week. So - instead we shoot each other.. Camera: Nikon Z7 2 . Housing: Isotta. lens: Nikon 8-15mm Sea&Sea strobes
