Transit time trough Singapore Airport (Changi)
canislupus replied to canislupus's topic in General Chat
Finally, for my own health I have changed the flights to a day later. I will have to visit Singapore for 1 day. I still think would be feasible if my first flight is on time, and that is a big IF…😅 Thank you for your help and info. Cheers. -

Thanks for the info. Things are getting worst: I have contacted the Airline, in this case Garuda, and has confirmed one thing I didn’t know about it, is that If you lose the first flight of the booking you cannot use any other flight although are from different dates… Mmm that is bad news. First I thought, well the worst that can happen is that I have to buy one more flight ,but is not the case If I don’t manage to do it on time I lose even the return flight… what a policy...🥵 I am considering delaying the flight to the next day, despite losing a day of diving. -
Transit time trough Singapore Airport (Changi)

Thank for the answer. That makes me keep the faith.😅 Yes there is a train between terminals, that could take us 6-7 minutes. About immigration I will do the SG Arrival card online, that you could do 3 days before arriving there. Our main problem, I think, will be arriving with the luggage on the check-in counter. Next time, I think will follow your advice and take same itinerary, this time for saving some money we took different itinerary, but the level of stress I suspect don’t will be worth the money… -
Next November we are going for a trip, the thing is that due to a modification of departure time I have only 2 hours and 10 minutes to make a transit in Changi. I’m arriving to Terminal 2 and will have to clear immigration, collect luggage and arrive to the check-in counter in Terminal 3, one hour before departure. This let us only 1h10’ to make it. I remember for another trip that the immigration clearance was quite fast but I’m unsure that I could make it on time. In case anyone else has had such a tight transit any tip / trick or anything that could make me think is feasible would be appreciate it. Cheers

Thank you. Mine is S&S housing with the S&S 45º viewfinder, I suppose it should be more or less the same. I don’t have vacuum valve system.

I think changing a viewfinder is my worst nightmare. No clue how to do it, and attached in the housing forever 😅

For anyone interested, finally I bought for testing the DL07 model. These three other models DL20R, WK20S, DL16 only have spot light, although the beam angle varies from 66º to 78º is refereeing to the “secondary” beam angle of the spot light. For focus light I think is better to have floodlight with lesser power. Although I’m not sure the DL07 in the low brightness floodlight mode would be of any use for focus light. I bought it at a ridiculous price to be honest. Cheers.

Advice on mounting a Gopro and focus light
canislupus replied to canislupus's topic in Photography Gear and Technique
Thank you both for the inputs. For now I would use the light as a focus light but only for the Nikon and I will use the Gopro only with natural light and filters. I like a lot the quad ball adapter you link, Chris. I will have a look. Thank you very much. -
Hi everyone, I would like to ask for some advice, I am using a S&S for Nikon D300, on the housing I used the accessory shoe on top for attaching a focus light or a Gopro. I would like to use to mount both at the same time. I was thinking of using a triple ball clamp but I’m not sure if there is a better solution for that. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you very much. I am using this for the gorpro:

How do you pack your dive gear for travel?
canislupus replied to Troporobo's topic in Travel Gear and Packing Tips
In the search to reduce the weight of the suitcase itself as much as possible, in my last trip I used a very cheap Decathlon bag, 100 liters. I used also for moving the wet equipment once there. The cons are that it has not any zip and that is very easy to open, but nowadays anything could be opened… Decathlon bag -

Thank you very much bghazzal I Will have a deep look at the posts you link, good stuff there. For what I have seen I like better the OAI mount than the Backscatter, but being able to use filters is a good option. Because is the same lens maybe I should go for the Backscatter… Thanks again. Cheers. -

Hi, Could anyone give more detail and where and how do you mount a red filter using the OAI UWL-03 lens? I see that the Backscatter mount has the possibility to mount red filters but I have doubts on how you mount it using the OAI mount. I was thinking of buying the UAL-03 lens for the Gopro11. Thank you very much. -

Wow very nice. Nice job. I’m surprised with the quality of the gopro and the wet lens. -
Long time reader on wetpixel with little participation there. Shooting with a quite old Nikon D300 in a S&S Housing…
