  1. How do you like using a monitor, I have ordered a monitor and not yet underwater to test, I have an idea to acquire an EMWL 160. 67 year old eyesight thought the monitor may be useful with EMWL and otherwise, I am a bit concerned about the added size of equipment, you have anything to report? Would appreciate someone telling of using monitor. Thank you.
  2. Last I had read, they were closed for designing and new direction, the newer Sola X is a fabulous creation, a completely new design. Customer service over the many years had always been outstanding. Light & Motion was fabulously innovative and provided a variety of lighting options at many price points, hope the innovators from Light & Motion resurface!
  3. Spare Strobe trigger, not easy to acquire while traveling, learned from an underwater photography standpoint a spare can be a trip saver.
  4. Backscatter website has a very good review of strobe size category / light quality. https://www.backscatter.com/reviews/post/Best-Underwater-Strobe-Flash
  5. Wow, fabulous.. for you. I currently shooting Canon R5 in Nauticam, the set up is big, bigger than any of my previous camera/nauticam setups, almost to the point of regret. Not sure if budget will allow for 2.
  6. Will follow to see how you like your 6700, contemplating putting mine in a housing...
  7. Thank you for emphasizing something extremely important to complete image that is easy to overlook. Providing image samples very helpful.
  8. I wish I had moved from my long loved Canon 7D to the R7, I opted for the R5 and very much miss my APSC : - (
  9. Hello Caollla, Thank you for your post. R5 has been a big change/adjustment from Canon (long time used) 7D, I continue to use EF 100, hope to acquire MFO-1. You have a nice batch of lenses. Sometimes I question moving from APC to Full Frame and a larger housing. I am land locked in central USA, only have opportunity to dive 1 trip / year. I realize I need to get in to a pool and do some serious practice prior to next trip. You use Retra strobes and ordered 2 new WOW! I experienced a catastrophe on first trip with R5, flash trigger failed, missed out on half of the trip till arrived at Lembeh and was able to purchase a replacement, did some video, however, had overheat issues during video on every dive, frustrating, as I kept duration of video to 30 seconds, 1 to 2 minutes max, still overheated. Most recent second trip was more enjoyable with functioning flash trigger. Which flash trigger do you use? Nauticam? I have had some fun using Backscatter MiniFlash 2 and snoot. Do you ever consider EWML?
