Davide DB Posted September 14 Posted September 14 On my last dive, I had to skip filming because the reef wasn't in great shape. I didn't get anything! So, just for fun, I tried the MWB at 17 meters with no lights on my dive buddy, who was totally game. I'd say that at this depth, with the conditions being what they were (very murky and green water), my GH5M2 was pushing its limits. I think with a bit more clear water, I could have got some better shots. I'd really love to see what happens with a Canon or a Sony in the same conditions, but I don't think I'll ever know! This test really shows how much the environment (and the sensor) affect the final results! It's a circle shots, and colors changes with the sun position and in the clip, there was still a bit of a purple tone on top. It would have helped to work more on it, but time just flew by. The flickering at the bottom is from the thermocline. I tried to wait for some fish to swim by, but no luck! The camera was perfectly neutral, and I tried taking a selfie, but it wasn't quite what I was hoping for 😁 Yes the final shitty look is desaturated. 2
