TimG Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Hey guys i’m looking at planning a dive trip for a large group in August or October 2026 to Belize or maybe Roatan. I’m thinking of using Aggressor IV. Any thoughts or recent experiences would be most welcome. As an associated, and slightly odd, issue…… has anyone used Aggressor III and how was the cabin experience? The reason to ask is that I see that, as opposed to Aggressor IV, all the cabins have a double bottom bunk bed with a single top bunk. I ran a trip in 2020 with a similar set up (not Aggressor) and most of the team found it awful: coffin-like and barely able to turn over! I have no wish to repeat that. But I’m told Aggressor is very good so I wondered. Many thanks. 2
makar0n Posted October 22 Posted October 22 (edited) There is quite a few topics on Scubaboard - Aggressor fleet is a bit controversial. Seems the individual boats operate on franchise basis under as single brand, and when anything smelly hits the fan, parent company washes their hands off anything. There are certainly lots of positive stories out there, but also quite a few total wrecks (latest one in Komodo, where boat stayed in port whole week, and refused any refunds). Seems as long as it goes well, all guests are happy, but if anything goes bad, then you are on your own. Might be worth combing the accidents section, that fleet seems a bit fire prone. Also this might be of interest, also few recent guest reports towards the end: https://scubaboard.com/community/threads/belize-aggressor-iv-mooring-breaks.639886/ Edited October 22 by makar0n 1 1 1 1
atus Posted October 23 Posted October 23 Not about Belize but yes about Agressor. I have been in a dive trip in the red sea on the Agressor Red Sea II 3 weeks ago, I was told it was a luxyry boat, they charge as a luxury boat. It's not, it's a normal boat with the normal services in the red sea, the staff made the difference. They were fantastic, but the boat on itself, old and normal. 2 1
