aquabluedreams Posted January 12 Posted January 12 (edited) Updated the website, still a work in progress. As we dive less and travel more becoming more generalized. Total hack and new to Squarespace so feel free to critique! https://www.aquabluedreams.com Edited January 12 by aquabluedreams 1
sjka Posted February 18 Posted February 18 Thanks for sharing! Loved the shark photos! A few critiques: 1) there's an extra item in your header for "New Dropdown" 2) What's the asterisk doing after "Real Images in the Real World" in your footer? 3) I love it when I can read a bit more about the photographers behind a website. Obviously depends on what you're going for but maybe adding a bit more about yourselves in the "Contact" or making a separate "About/Artist Statement" page would work? 4) It would be compelling to be able to click on a photo and either enlarge it on a monochrome background or just switch to another "focus" type mode so you only see one photograph at a time. I imagine Squarespace has a plug-in or something for that. Nice work! 1
aquabluedreams Posted Saturday at 03:38 PM Author Posted Saturday at 03:38 PM (edited) Thanks, really appreciate the input. 1. Fixed 2. Here goes the rant...Like many I don't like what AI is doing to photography. BUT I do use Sky Replacement on rare occasion, I keep it to skies I have shot. Yes, I admit I have replaced Spot Healing and Clone with Photoshops Generative Fill. My pathetic rationalization is only to remove items, people taking selfie shots, not to add anything to the image. So the asterisk is an attempt at truth in advertising and I need to put a note in the About Us page. 3. Being old it just feels odd to put personal info on the Web. Even the site feels like bragging in a way. 4. Agree, I have to find the function that will give an enlarged view of an image. Thanks again. Edited Saturday at 03:53 PM by aquabluedreams 1
