Hi Community,

just a quick question… is the KRL01 and the WFL01 exact the same lens but different branding?

I was looking for the WFL01 and saw a good deal for the KRL01 and the specs look exactly the same and obviously they look identical :D

Thank you!

Good question - they used to share same factories, but each have developped their own line of products nowadays, especially when it comes to lights.

However, some products are still identical, like the clamps for example, where only the branding/logo changes.

If specs are identical (especially weight, material and optical data) there's a very high chance they are the same, but best double check.

The Kraken spec sheet is more complete than what I can find on the Weefine side, but yes they look absolutely identical. The weight/fov is a good indicator.

I lost my INON 365 AD Fisheye in my last safari. Now I am looking for a good replacement that I can use with my sony rx100va and maybe in future a sony a6700.

would the kraken krl-01 be a good alternative? Even it is not a fisheye

I talked to a Shop about the wet wide lenses.

For compact it all depends on the housing (port length) and camera (24mm or 28mm).

For Sony a6700 you can use the Kraken KRL-01, but since you are located in Germany you will find the weefine WFL-01 much easier, if you want to buy new.

what housing do you use with your rx100 va right now @rachid ?
