FS: Retra Prime Underwater Strobe/Flash

Selling a second-generation model Retra Prime underwater flash (Serial # XCC5) that is in near as new condition as gets with a Trigger Count of only 252 firings. Firmware has been updated to the latest 4.5 addition.

The Prime is Retra’s underwater flash featuring a complete, unbroken circular flash tube generating a full 130-degree beam spread without the aid of a detachable diffuser. The quality and consistency of the light for shooting wide-angle is ideal adding color temperature in the 4900° Kelvin range rendered a warmer white to the lighter color regions on subjects like sharks.

With a set of fully charged AA 2600mAh 1.2V Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries, the Prime has a max output of 100-Watt seconds (Ws) at full power with a recycle time of 2 seconds for up 200 flashes.  

Like all Retra flashes, the Prime features Fiber Optic Connection and accepts all Retra series Reduction Rings / Beam restrictors and Wide-Angle Diffusers as well as Retra’s Light Shaping Devices with the Retra mount.
