Hi everyone — my name is Luca Crudeli. I'm a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and underwater photographer based in Bethesda, MD, just outside Washington, DC. I've been diving and shooting for over twenty years, mostly across Mozambique, East Africa, the Indian Ocean, Brazil, and the Pacific Islands. I co-authored and photographed Diving Ponta, a dive and photo guide to southern Mozambique's Partial Marine Reserve (available on Amazon), and an earlier book, Dive in Style, Swahili Coast, covering Tanzania's reefs. My photography has also taken me into exhibition spaces — solo shows at the Federal Senate of Brazil and the Contemporary Art Museum of Brasília, and work for BioFund Mozambique's marine conservation campaigns. When I'm not underwater I work in international development, specializing in blue economy and coastal livelihoods.

I've recently relocated to the DC area after many years abroad and I'm looking to connect with other underwater photographers in the DMV — the DC, Maryland, Virginia area.
