Hey all

I'm traveling from work to Hong Kong at the end of October and staying through the beginning of November. I'll have a few days for diving from about the 6th to the 9th of November.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a diving center or a guide in that area?

I hope to find nudies, frogfish, etc., and who knows, maybe even a blue ring octopus :)

Hi Sagi,

I personally would suggest avoiding Diving and rather go hiking in HK: we have a lot of excellent hiking (and Nov is a great time), and some rather poor diving.

If you must dive, I think it is possible in Nov (the water will just start getting cooler, and the winds pick up a bit in winter) and the viz improves to maybe 5-10m range.

the few times I dived in my decades there, I went with a guy who is since retired. There is an outfit run by an avid diver called Simon Lorenz (https://www.insiderdivers.com/) - not sure if he organizes trips in HK, but he has a large group of excellent divers on his whatsapp forum. You can ask them for more advise.
