Over 50 and still diving? (Go on, admit it....)
On Nov 2 TimG wrote," It’s ok. Once you hit the Big Seven Zero you realise you don’t need so much kit….. housing, two lenses, two ports, two strobes and a snoot. And you’re done 😝". Sounds like the typical Brit kit - a fisheye and a 105mm macro. I'm now 81 and heading to Bali for a month of diving. Diving since 1973 and now somewhere between 6K & 7K dives. One housing, four lenses, three strobes, etc. On my upcoming September trip it will be both (two) housings and five or six lenses, and four strobes. 3mm wetsuit. Still feel more at home in the water than out of it.

FS: Ikelite DS160 strobes and sync cord to ikelite housing
I now realize that you may not live in Miami as I had hoped, so meeting in Naples may not be workable for you. If you live somewhere else, then we would have to make other arrangements for payment and shipping the strobes to me.

FS: Ikelite DS160 strobes and sync cord to ikelite housing
Hello again umiami05, I have a couple more questions about your Ikelite strobes. Thank you for your answers to my initial questions. I am currently shooting with DS-161s and virtually always on TTL. Were you shooting with your DS-160s on TTL? You are not offering a digital converter with the strobes. But if your camera was in an Ikelite housing, then the digital converter might have been inside the housing. I have contacted Ikelite and asked if their digital TTL would work properly if a DS-160 is paired with a DS-161. They said that it should work, but that it could not be guaranteed. Your dual strobe sync cable has a blue ring on it which indicates that it be suitable for TTL. These are, for me, serious "maybe's. Since these are serious questions, I am willing to offer you $600 for both DS-160 strobes with 2022 dated battery packs, the two Ikelite battery pack chargers, and the dual sync cable. I know this is not as much as you were asking for, but your offer to sell them has been on WaterPixels forum for almost a month and no one else has responded to your ad. There is also time problem with this possible transaction. You wrote that you had been away, at Lembeh, which delayed your response to my initial query, which seems to say the strobes and their 2022 battery packs may have been used on a second dive trip. Not just Tiger Beach. That is of no real concern to me. I am almost ready to take off for a month in Bali. I leave here on Tuesday, May 5th. I can make several suggestions on how we deal with this. Your WaterPixel name suggests that you may live in Miami, Florida. I live in Sarasota. We could meet at some halfway point, like Naples, Florida and if the strobes and chargers and the dual sync cable is as you describe them. I make a few test shots with your strobes and my digital converters, and if they work as they should, then I hand you $600 in cash and the sale is final. No Paypal fees, no packaging for shipping, no shipping fees. A simple cash transaction. Since I am leaving on Tuesday, we would have to do this on either Saturday, May 2nd, or Sunday May 3rd. Or we can wait until I get home from Bali. This would give you an extra month to try to sell the strobes elsewhere. And if they do not sell elsewhere I pay you $550 for everything at Naples on a date easier for both of us. If you would like to do the May 2nd or May 3rd transaction, please call me at phone number (941) 953-7623. Fred

Nauticam N120 Extension Ring 20 (NA #21120)
If I am willing to give some personal information in an attempt to get more information about an item I might want to purchase or to try to have it sent to me faster, I think that should be my choice. The internet is full of false and intentionally deceptive information because the poster is not required to reveal his (or her) true identity. Being honest about who you or the facts that you give are shouldn't be grounds for criticism. I have seen where some people make comparisons about underwater strobes by simply repeating the various manufacturer's guide numbers for their strobe's flash power instead of making accurate readings with a flash meter. Ditto for the color temperature. Using a scientific instrument under consistent conditions gives a potential strobe buyer honest, unbiased data on which he can make his decision instead of a "it works for me" review. FS: Ikelite DS160 strobes and sync cord to ikelite housing
Hello Umiami05, I have a couple questions about the Ikelite strobes you are selling. Are you including chargers for the battery packs? I am also concerned that the strobes are at least a dozen years old and that battery packs lose capacity if unused for extended periods of time and you say no use except one dive trip after purchase in 2022? Can you provide more information about the age of the strobes and when that one dive trip was? I am looking to buy a used DS161 but maybe your DS160 might do. Divegypsy

FS: Seacam Extension rings
Yes, a 20mm extension ring is still available. US$95 plus shipping cost. What is the address to which I would need to ship the 20mm extn ring? I see that you are in Australia. I just sent two rings to a NSW address which cost the buyer about US$60. Do you ever get to Bali for diving. I will be there from late August until early November. Could hand them to you in person there which would save you the shipping cost and any import taxes. Please reply directly to my email account [email protected] as I check that more frequently than here.

FS: Seacam Fisheye Port
For Sale: Seacam Fisheye port. This port has several very small dings in the glass due to inadequate protection provided by the original shade provided by Seacam. See close-up photo of dings. The dings are just between the end of the white pointer and the 1/2" mark on the scale I provided to show the size of the dings. I have not seen any of these result in marks on any of the fisheye images I have shot with this port. The port includes a new custom-made lens shade which would have preventing the dings and a rigid port cap. Also included are the original Seacam shade parts which can be attached place of mine if you want. And the Seacam neoprene port cover. Price $395. Includes shipping within the USA.

FS: Seacam Wideport

FS: Seacam Superdome
For Sale: Seacam Superdome. This is an older Superdome, but the glass is still flawless. It has a custom built lens shade that was designed for the full frame 16mm f2.8 Nikon fisheye lens. The shade can be completely removed which will allow you to shoot with circular fisheye image with no vignetting. The port also includes a grey ring which to which I used for attaching floatation to help hold the camera right at the surface for over/undrer shots. Also included is a rigid port cover to provide maximum protection when you are not using the port. Price $995.
