@Robin.snapshots To confirm..... vignetting does not appear in the 16:9 format with the Backscatter sharp wide lens (uwl-03)? It is important to leave no doubts about this topic for future buyers... as is my case.

I can confirm that using the 16:9 format, wide and 5,3 k resolution (go pro 11 ) you will have no vignetting
And I am using the inon ultrawide lens, that have a bit wider view, despite both reporting 140 degree.

Here the video with the difference between the lenses:

Yes in 16:9 or 9:16 there is no noticeable vignetting with both mounting options on GoPro 12

Did you fix it?

at the end how is this lens with the mount by backscatter?

I did not find much info on the web

Backscatter version works perfectly in 16:9 or 9:16. The op was experiencing vignetting using the full sensor readout 8:7. In this mode both Backscatter and AOI vignettes

The Backscatter version gives you the option to use their filters.

Hello, I've received the backscatter sharp wide lens today, I'll test next days. A doubt regards the little gap of this version fir filter insertion with respect to the AOI version.

Could anyone give me his personal opinion about the little major distance of the lens? Can this gap affect the wide angle range? Thank you in avance. Bye

I tested in lake the new backscatter wa lens with gopro 12 and ambient light just today. I attached a photo after WB. Underwater the lens is very bright and reduces dirty particles. First time, great results.  I hope to be better in tropical water. Bye
