Advice on mounting a Gopro and focus light

Hi everyone,

I would like to ask for some advice, I am using a S&S for Nikon D300, on the housing I used the accessory shoe on top for attaching a focus light or a Gopro.

I would like to use to mount both at the same time.

I was thinking of using a triple ball clamp but I’m not sure if there is a better solution for that. Any advice would be helpful.

Yeah, I think a triple clamp would be the most simple solution.
 

The only issue might be that if you adjust, say, the GoPro by slackening the triple screw, the light may well shift too. But you can probably manage this with a bit of practice.

If you are using the light with the go-pro the light would have to be close to the go-pro with a triple clamp and would definitely light up any particles.  You could consider mounting the go -pro in the hotshoe and mount the light from one of the housing handles - or is you have strobe arms mounted you can get ball mounts that attach part way along the arms.  this way the laight can be off to the side of the go-pro.

For now I would use the light as a focus light but only for the Nikon and I will use the Gopro only with natural light and filters.
