Hi- I literally went on my first dive and the shackle on my Nauticam clamp fell off- when I check Amazon there’s a bunch of different size shackles I can buy- does anyone know what size would be equivalent?

I think they are 1/4 inch or M6 (the inside opening width is right at 1/2 inch).

The pin needs to be made snug so as to put a spring load on the shackle loop and for extra security a bit of cave line to lash the pin to the shackle loop if worried.

The shaft is about 4.5mm diameter. If it fell off I assume it unscrewed? If so get your self a shackle key to tighten the screw:

the slot on the end slides over the tab on eh shackle allowing you tighten it up, once you do that it won't go anywhere. Should be able to buy something similar from a ship's chandler.

Great thank you for the info- yes the screw unloosened and luckily I was able to save the other shackle from falling off

I have a much more basic carry handle setup that has served me well. Paracord, mini bolt-snap, little D-ring, 1/2 inch tubing. About $10. Attached to the top of the ULCS arm. Zip tied a big oring at the bottom of the arm to stow it while diving.

Looks great! I’ll keep that in mind I just bought the clamps with shackle so I ordered the shackle and have made my own lanyard etc but good back up plan if the shackle doesn’t work out

I also lost a shackle from a Nauticam MP clamp and I'm considering if I want to do a different attachment. Perhaps a large split ring or soft connection of some sort.

I also lost a shakle from the Nauticam clamp and bought later another shakle at the hardware store, but in the meantine during ten diving vacation a keyring that I had with me was also fine...
