I was allowed to try a z-cam in nauticam housing with a 100 mm macro at an underwater video workshop today. I kept it simple and it was quite fun.

Z-Cam is really a powerful weapon.

I hope that the lawsuit won by Panasonic in Japan against Red might make it possible to recover raw on these cameras one day.

Thanks. I used manual focus. I wouldn't manage to do this one with AF.

I think it is important to try to create a small visualstory, so you change between wide shots, medium shots and close. So a combination of one on macro and one on wide angle is a perfect buddy pair!

We also learned a lot from the workshop-instructor Tove Petterson (She has an impressive background, check her out at: https://www.tovepetterson.com/my-story) regarding creating small stories.

I don't think it has a hood. It is an Atomos Ninja V in a Nauticam Housing.

I mean on the back of the housing. There's some Dutch tape.

Aha! That is good old duct-tape with a 1 kg counterweigh to balance the rig. ;)

Question - how do you like your tripod set-up?

Especially when you are topside on the boat, some boats have a limited area on their camera tray & then while on your dive, where do you put the tripod legs?

I don't shoot video but there are times when shooting super macro stills, I really want to try and limit any camera movement
