I don't believe it is a Humboldt, as I think they are quite large. This one was roughly 8-10 inches, not counting the extended tentacles. It was hunting in our lights during a night dive in Dominica.

    Thanks for response… yes, Humboldt’s are big (2-3 ft) and aggressive.

     

    Nonetheless, I love this photo. The tone and lighting is fantastic!
