tkdcol Posted August 13 Posted August 13 I'm looking at picking up a tg5, 5 o 4 to use when I'm DMing and can't take my larger rig. There seem to be some clear upgrades in the tg5 (when compared to the 4), buy what are the biggest differences (as far as UWP) in the 6 vs 5? TIA
Chris Ross Posted August 14 Posted August 14 The main difference for UW photo purposes is you don't need to use microscope mode for macro. Microscope mode imposes some limitations compared to be able to use Av. On the TG-6 you can use supermacro AF which basically means you can between shooting larger subjects and small subjects without changing modes. Probably a good advantage for a camera you want to use when you cant use your full rig. 2

tkdcol Posted August 14 Author Posted August 14 Doesn't make much sense. If there's no difference how would I save money by getting a 6 rather than a 5?
hedonist222 Posted August 15 Posted August 15 I was reading a tg-6 vs tg-7 thread and responded here by mistake. 1
