Hello forum,

I've wanted to register with the forum for a long time, but I've never taken the plunge.

I'm a cruise director from Spain. I used to own a little TG6 and a GoPro, but recently I decided to buy a Sony a6700 with a Nauticam housing. It has a 16-50 mm OSS II lens with a WWLC and a CMC-1.

I enjoy photography and videography, and I hope to learn and share lots of knowledge on this forum.

Hi Alan

Well done taking the plunge. Good to have you with us. There's a good few TG users as members so you have lots of helpful company. Even more so with the a6700.

We hope you really enjoy the forum. Welcome aboard!

Best wishes

Thank everyone for the welcome 🤗.

@Davide DB yes I used the continuous autofocus for video, but I'm still really new with the system. Maybe I can upload some video to show the results.

It would be interesting to see it in action. The V1 lens was considered mediocre, but according to the Sony website, it seems that the V2 has been optimized specifically for video AF. Essentially, it’s a 24-70, and with a light diopter, it would be ideal for Blackwater and other use cases where AF is essential. We have an old thread on the topic. If you want, you could link some videos via YouTube, even with unlisted links:
