Is this the end of an era that shaped the world of underwater photography? Let’s see what the future brings. I have used Seacam equipment myself in the past. The housings were very robust; the Seaflash 150D and the 45° sports viewfinder were from my point of view exceptional for their time. The ergonomics of the housings, however, were unfortunately not the best. To this days, I still use the glass ports and flash arms with my Nauticam housing.

It seems that the European manufacturers (UK-Germany, Subal, Sealux...) who long defined the market are gradually disappearing.

Yep, sadly. The winner seems to be Nauticam. Isotta still going reasonably strong as European manufacturer ….
