Ricoh G900 Announced - OM TG alternative?
Honestly i dont see this replacing TG series as favorite compact for underwater use. This seems to be aimed for professionals on worksites ect. Webpage advertises first features like what disinfectancts it can be scrubbed down with if you take to processing plants, which sounds like its not really aimed for consumers. Price is also $300 more than TG. Im pretty sure we wont see any housings made for this.

SUPE D-PRO Strobe test
I have D-Pros and Nauticam trigger (On A7RV), never had problem firing the strobes. I bought mine in Taiwan along with cables, maybe the shop just knew which ones to sell (or just lucky). I do remember the plugs being little bit "loose".

Supe V4Kv3 Underwater Video Light. Pros and Cons. Other alternatives?
What is the deal here? The Fotocore GTX strobe came out months ago, and yes, its just rebranded D-Pro (housing is slightly different). All other Fotocore eq is rebranded Scubalamp eq. Yet Scubalamp is still selling all their own, so i dont think its just a rebranding of the company. Scubalamp and Fotocore even have totally different addresses in China. Would be interesting to know if there is someone who knows some details, i asked this in the Fotocore thread 6 months ago already.

Mid-range macro recs for Sony FFs?
I have this Nikon 60mm used with Monster adapter. Fits the Sony 90mm port with little to spare. Tried the combo out few times on blackwater dives, it did feel slightly better than using the 90. But it might just be me.

Big Animal Expedition in La Paz - Sea of Cortez Multi-day trip: Baja Shark Experience
This wont happen. Scam is more likely to spread Cancun and other places like it did to Mexico City.

Flying to Kaimana
I was at Triton Bay bit over one year ago. CGK-SOQ-KNG from Lion group. CGK-SOQ on Batik and SOQ-KNG on Wings. Bags checked at Jakarta and no need to re-check at Sorong. Sorong-Kaimana is on ATR and carryon might get gate checked.

Travel to Baja
So instead of situation getting better, its actually going worse if Mexico City is starting same. Yes its in the customs law, but still if they count housing as a camera (which is their premise to scam money), its kinda f'd.

CFExpress Type B memory card DIY project
I hate this. Like really really hate it. CF A cards are ridiculously expensive. Even the "faster" Pergear 1tb card is half the speed and still more expensive than just random Angelbird 1tb CF B card. But yea, seriously doubt that there will be a similar DYI for CF A. Maybe time for Sony bashing topic 🙂

Remote lighting muck stick
This 100%. I have Supe D-pros with the Supe snoot on the left, not the smallest setup but easily managed with left hand. Or hand the snoot to your guide, theyre normally better at it than wifes.

Nauticam Fisheye Conversion Port shipping Mid January
There should be Sony event next week with rumors for 24-50 f/2.8G And 16-25 f/2.8G being released. Both sound like interesting choices, but G series lens will be most likely expensive on top of the FCP.

Testing/Comparing new generation strobes - OneUW, Retra Pro, Ikelite DS230, Supe D-Pro (Marilux Apollo III)
I picked my Supe D-Pros on a work trip from Taiwan, was 560 USD each. That starts to be a a bargain even with the stobes shortcomings (colour temp/size). I havent had any firing issues on them with my Nautocam trigger.

Singapore stop over
If you are just one night, bite the bullet and take hotel from the airport. Yotel is cheaper than Crowne Plaza and its still easily accessible from the terminal. Im also assuming you are taking the morning Scoot flight to MDC. Going to the city might save you close to a 100$ in hotel price, but you need to spend close to that in taxi's ect. One option could be leaving luggage at the airport (even better if its checked through to MDC), it costs under 20SGD per item. Then just take MRT with HBO (i wouldnt go with alot of luggage) to somewhere like Aljunied station (before the city coming from airport) for semi-decent hotel for the night. And not too far away to catch the moning flight.

Nauticam Fisheye Conversion Port shipping Mid January
Any rumours at Boot about the release date? I have started to think about this if i sell my WACP-C (and if there is someone to buy it).

Fisheye for Sony FF
I would look into converted RS 13mm also. Pricewise it probably comes out cheaper than that Canon+adapter+dome combo.

Travel to Baja
Im guessing this is still at thing at SJD? Best way to not get "taxed" is entering the country at Mexico City?

Fotocore GTX
Ran into this strobe online. https://fotocore.com/products/gtx-strobe Looks like its rebranded D-pro with slightly different outer shell, otherwise its 1:1. Even the accessories are Scubalamp ones. Anyone have any info on this?

How much light?
If starting from scratch, how much light is generally needed for video? Normal bigger is better applies here? Say, not dedicated video setup, but with something like Sony A1/A7S or Canon R5. Is it more like 2k or 20k lumen lights?

What does it do so much better to justify the price, which is very steep?
